I do the majority of the shopping for our family and Pete's produce is always one of my favorite stops. It's selection of fresh fruits and vegetables are easily one of the best in the city. Quality, price and multicultural selection are on par with specialty stores in Chicago's numerous neighborhoods. I shop Pete's stores all over the city and they are never let me down. I also buy fresh meat at Pete's but that's not its strong suit in my opinion. Fruit vegetables and grocery is where it hangs its hat.

Their hot bar is limited to only Mexican food for the most part. I understand the area is profoundly Hispanic, and I’m okay with that. But you should open up and offer a variety. That’s why I like Pete’s in the suburbs. On this particular visit, the Little Caesar’s in the same lot NEVER has anything hot and ready, so I walked out and went to Pete’s where I can have a variety and eat healthier. Absolutely none of the labels were correct except on a few items. And they only had one hot bar available to choose from, where all the food was comparably the same flavor. Why is nobody at any of these establishments doing their jobs and keeping food ready? I work for UPS and I have to be in bed early. I currently have a fractured metatarsal and just did a bunch of very unnecessary walking because these people are not keeping hot food stocked and ready for people like me. Won’t be going to this Pete’s again. I’ll drive out of my way for a better selection and service. It’s a real bummer that this is my neighborhood location.

Feb 2022. Store is clean, organized and well stocked despite shortages, prices are still great with a large selection of food and items. One of the larger Pete's and still one of the best around.
