What bad timing to get a flat on prime riding time, Saturday morning! If you find yourself w a flat w no resources to fix and in the Laguna Niguel area come to Jax’s in Laguna Niguel! The manager David was great, knowing my rig was not a Trek brand but confident that he could fix my custom build Evil, he reassured me that my bike would be in great hands. Nick my service technician was there to help me fix it w quick turn around to get me back on the trails! Nick was so helpful and very knowledgeable! Fixed my tubeless all while educating me and giving me some helpful tips and tricks as he was fixing my rig! I have a custom rig and spent a few pennies on it so I didn't want to bring it to just any shop nor any technician but I trusted Nick w mine and will definitely come back to use his services to maintain my ride in the future! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this shop and NICK as the service technician!

The service tech was friendly and caring. Was able to install my rear cassette in minutes. If it took 10 minutes that would be long. He was respectful and caring. Thank you.

As much as I never give one-star reviews, this one is special. I called Jax Bicycle Center, asking about the bicycle inventory to see if it was worth the drive, and it seemed well at first when the phone call started. I have a brief background on the situation. I live in San Diego and want to see if they had a specific bicycle that showed up on the trek website since things get sold all the time. When the phone call started, the person said this was a Trek store, and I was confused and asked if this was Jax Bicycle Center or a Trek store, and he just replied with an empty “yes,” so I brushed it off. Then I asked if they had the specific bike in stock and the person seemed to show little to no interest in having a conversation or selling the bike (that BTW took less than 4-5 minutes for the whole phone call). Then when I said, “Hey, I am between these two models (street bicycle very similar), and I own this style of bicycle (hybrid dirt bicycle) already. What would you recommend for going fast and commuting,” they replied in a very condescending way saying, “you should probably do some homework and figure out what you want?” I held back and said, “Hey man, I did do the homework, and that’s why I am between these two models (both street bikes), and this is what I want to do with them. What would your professional suggestion be?” He then said, “you need to do more homework if you show up to a dealership; you need to know what you want” then he started comparing cars and stuff. In the end, I said Hey man, I want to buy this bicycle. Can you deliver? He said, yes, we do. It cost $50 if you are good with it and I said yes. Then he said, “oh wait, you want the AL version? I thought you said the AR version” BTW he constantly kept saying the AL version throughout the whole conversation, and the website kept saying they had it all week. The call ended with we don’t have it are we done, and I said yes then he just hung up. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever had this tops the DMV by miles. I have never seen a worst salesperson and I have worked in many similar jobs that require customer service. I don’t blame the store, but I would consider whoever they have hiring people consider reviewing their workers. If this person has a problem with this review they can call me back since we just talked like 30 minutes ago.

I am a short woman looking for an electric assist road bike. I'm 5'. Can you help me?

My wife is 5'2" and rides an electric assist Trek which is a 52 centimeter frame and is comfortable on very long rides. Being 5' you may want a 50 centimeter frame but I would test ride one first to see if it works for you. Jax is great with respect to helping their customers.

looking for a bike for my wife, ( her first one) she's 5.2 what would you recommend?

I highly recommend talking to guys at Jax. They have a wide variety and steer you wrong.

Do they have seats for kids?

Typically they have some but if you're looking for specifics you'll probably have to order it.
