I do not recommend staying at Lydia Mountain because of false advertisement and horrendous customer service. We booked a cabin listed on their website as a "1 bedroom," expecting a true 1 bedroom. When we arrived, we discovered it was studio cabin. We were traveling with an infant and a friend, anticipating being able to close a door to the room at night. We called the front desk and were transferred to the manager. We explained the cabin was not as described and she kept stating, "well, its a studio-style cabin. It is clear in the photographs." It is advertised as a 1 bedroom and it was not clear in the photographs. The "studio style" description is nowhere on their website. At one point she stated, "no one has ever complained, do you expect me to rebuild the cabin for you?" We talked in circles, tried to explain our situation, and in the end she stated, "if you don't like it, you can leave." It was a frustrating experience overall. Because of the false advertisement, we ended up having to setup our infant crib in the bathroom - the only location that allowed us to close a door. The manager was heartless and unwavering in her "I don't care" attitude. In addition, I don't recommend because the cabin was dirty and the appliances didn't work properly. The entire place desperately needed an update. Not worth the money, headache, or inconvenience.

My hubby and l just returned from a 3 night stay in the “Presidential” themed suite in the lodge, and it exceeded our expectations. Very clean, spacious and well appointed. The balcony off the room with the rocking chairs was great. We ate at the restaurant in the lodge, Bearrr Appetite, several times which was very good and the servers are very friendly and hard working. We had a nice chat with Crystal at the front desk and also Joshua. We will return and try different themed rooms. Highly recommend!

A little hard to understand the website but the place was gorgeous. Themed rooms, ours was the Empty Bottle. Very cute. The view off the deck was fantastic.

Stayed at Mountain Mist. Cabin was very clean, and well equipped. Except for the loft that I may or may not have climbed up into and found an air mattress, personal goods, empty can and made up bed like someone was creeping in and sleeping there after we were asleep....... I'm going to assume no one was expecting me to get the ladder down though and that no one was sleeping there......

Good morning, Troy! You certainly can - Lydia LOVES dogs and we have specific cabins designated as pet friendly. Take a look at the link below for more info. http://www.lydiamountainlodge.com/pets.html
Sals 🍕 pizza in Stanardsville closest & variety of subs, pizza & more. Payton chicken. Just take out no place to sit. Best chicken in Greene co. Other than that there are a few places in Ruckersville,15 min c-ville 45min or Harrisonburg 30 min

I can't speak for all the cabins, but mine by the highway did.
There are plenty of places ive found on the internet, you have to drive to get to them.
The cabin we stayed in had a bedroom and a loft. The couch was a double fold out, so our cabin could sleep 6. There were 2 full bathrooms. There are other cabins to accommodate different group sizes. Check their website.
We had ours!
Yes but smell horribly of mildew
