Absolutely my favorite Pennsylvania Creek location! Quick moving clean water. Always a blast to swim and scope out some fish underwater!

Generally a great small, family atmosphere. Deep enough to actually be able to swim, but shallow enough that most people can wade (7' at the deepest point that we have found). If you have goggles or a mask, you can enjoy seeing fish and crawdads as you navigate the underwater terrain. Just be careful on the rocks as there can be rattlesnakes (we haven't seen any personally). There is rough handicap accessibility, but it wouldn't pass ACA standards probably (sand and rocks). Overall, one of our favorite little swimming holes.

Why are they calling this King's Beach? I was born and raised in Picture Rocks and we never called it anything other than The Rocks.

So, about 6 years ago a buddy of mine and I would throw frisbee at the Picture Rocks school then come to the Rocks to cool off in the water and enjoy a beverage. We happened to be there 3 evenings over the course of a week and we bumped into an older gentleman from Shamokin. He was an avid fisherman and would chat with us between casts. On the final night we were there he commented to us that we looked like a couple of Kings sitting on the beach! So my friend and I continued to call it King's Beach. I created the site where the "beach" is because there is already a location called "The Rock's" and "Picture Rocks Park". Sorry that everyone was so offended by me creating an entirely new place and giving it a name that was personal to me and several of my friends.
