Went in to try to pawn my $1200+ Alienware X51 Desktop, called ahead to make sure they took them and got told yes, I go in, within minutes I'm sent out, the employee didn't ask about the specs or even if I wanted to pawn or sell it, he just asked how much I wanted I said $600, he said they can do nowhere near that, without bothering to check the machine out, or ask anyone else. It seemed as if he had no knowledge of computers whatsoever. Meanwhile they were selling the model prior to mine for $800, I'm very offended by the customer service.

It all depends on quality and original worth when dealing with pawnshops, your best bet is to actually call them and ask for a ballpark estimate so you will see ahead of time if it's worth the trip.
Yeah they take cameras... They'll usually pay you about a third of what it's worth though regardless of how new it is, and regardless of pawning or selling...
