First of all, i am an old man and clearly over 21. Purchased groceries the other day. Cashier wouldnt sell me a six pack of adult beverages because my drivers license had expired by a few days. I told the cashier that it is a license to drive not a license to purchase beverages (It is still a valid government issued ID with my birthday on it). Didnt matter. She asked if i had any other government issued ID. I showed her my Utah issued Conceal Carry License which is clearly government issued (and requires you to be >21 + also pass several tests and verifications, fingerprinting etc). She made a remark about how that doesnt count and that i better not try and show her a library card either because anyone can get one. The beverages were not purchased that day. A bit sanctimonious and embaressing to be treated that way. I think ill make a point to buy groceries elsewhere.

I’ve been shopping here for years and unfortunately it’s time for me to change locations. Consistently over the years the meat I purchase goes bad days before the sell buy date, they’ve sold me used products that they’ve repackaged (including toothbrushes, ew), the checkers have not been respectful of my children’s’ desire to please NOT be touched to the point where my kids hate checking out there, and they’re often out of stock of basic items. I have started shopping elsewhere and every time I shop here it’s the same story.

This was my neighborhood Smith's growing up! They have some of the kindest employees who somehow always remember you! Vintage skiing artwork on the walls, of course quality food and produce at great prices that Kroger always provides! Places like this are also such a great place for young adults where you can learn basic work skills! Thank you Smith's on Bengal 😊.
