We had a great time visiting the beach here! It's a very pretty, family friendly place with beautiful lush greenery surrounding the walkways down to the water. Dog friendly as well! There are some larger rock formations and during high tide, the waves splash against them and create some awesome photo opps. Highly recommend! We have a beach just 5 min away from our home but we prefer driving the extra 15 minutes to this one.

Nice park with beach access and restroom facility. Beach is deep and rough wave.

We found Ocean Reef Park simply driving through the area. The kids were in the car a bit and needed to run around a little break. The kids had a great time playing on the slides, kids love sandy areas. There's plenty tables spread out more than six feet apart. The best part the parking and beach access free! The people we encounter were very enjoying the beach having a great time. We've been several times already. Great location!!!!

Small slice of beach front wedged between condos and hotels. Free to anyone. Park has ample parking, well marked handicap spaces. At the lifeguard station beach accessible wheelchairs are available.

Yes, I'm from another state and I was there during peak season. There is no guard.
They have bathrooms, grills and showers. Also a awesome playground
Yes. Its best to go at mid to high tide. If you head south of the park, there are a few rock piles worth checking out. Most if the reefs are between the Hilton and the Riviera Public Beach. Make sure to have a dive flag. Also, there is usually a light currently running from south to north. You can also find good snorkeling on the east side if the Blue Heron bridge between mid & high tide.
Surf fishing
If you stay out of the private property, I believe you're fine as I have seen others there before. I can't say for certain that it's allowed though
yes there are big shelters and grills
Sunset
Hi, JCJDM4LIFE. Ocean Reef Park offers free parking from sunrise to sunset. There is no parking allowed on the sand/beach. For more information about Ocean Reef Park, please visit https://discover.pbcgov.org/parks/Locations/Ocean-Reef.aspx. Sincerely, Melanie, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department.
No. The park opens around 6:30am and closes at dusk. There is a gate.
There's a pavilion available for rental. Idk the costs...Google palm beach county parks & recreation for a list of parks, prices and a number where county personnel can assist you.
yes north side of guarded area of the farthest north entrance of beach. that whole exposed reef point extruding out into the ocean is pretty awesome just watch the surf n big barracuda great at high tide.
In renting a shelter. More information at http://discover.pbcgov.org/parks/Locations/Ocean-Reef.aspx
ITS NORMAL AMOUNTCOF SEEDWEED THERE LIKE ANY OTHER BEACH IN FLORIDA
Actually, if you set up your chairs, etc to the north ( left) of the guarded area sign and take the same trail that comes out at the covered picnic tables, the lifeguard's are absolutely fine with a well behaved dog and they can swim and enjoy the beautiful beach, too.
No pets allowed. It's posted on all signs in the park. People may get away with it when the life guards are gone after 5, but it's still patrolled by rangers & local police. There's a great section of off-leash dog beach in Juno just north of the Pier - about a 10 minute drive north of Ocean Reef.
Yes its been open for a week.
The sand was pretty loose. You'd need to be down in the wet sand for a jogging stroller. Otherwise, you'll be getting a heck of a workout pushing sand.
