Police that are working Lyons Creek Middle are pure tyrants. Expelling someone from a school line 5 minutes before dismissal is an absolute abuse of power. Sad thing is Captain Morgan does not provide his officers sufficient training to remedy the issue. Telling people they can not park in a non-gated community while not obstructing traffic is also abuse of power. Placing trespassing signs where they are not legal, and using "city ordinances" to hide behind these issues is absurd. I guess I need to learn in harder for these guys to get an education. Let's get the State Department of Justice involved to see what other violations of the law these people act upon. I've had a few instances with these guys and they do think they are above the law or they know more than you. When the information is put in their face they cave. As long as I am a resident of the City of Coconut Creek, I'll make sure that these inconveniences are fixed accordingly.

Police are really scare in this town. after school one day, Police officers came through my garage and beat me up and literally dragged me out my home. they that i was braking in. They then drew weapons' on my mom as she in minding her business on the toilet! Lucky my grandfather who is a retired cop came home and went off on them. The officers did not give names. or filed a police report.

An officer wished death upon children publicly and used the tired, time-worn cowardly response that his statement was a joke, same as every violent bully ever, hoping that he could score his violent point and enjoy the blessings of zero repercussions. We have here a police department that is neither peaceful nor showing conduct becoming of officers. Your constituents should be ashamed of your poverty of character.

Excellent Police force! I currently reside in Apartment Complex on Lyons, and personally being young and engaged. We have had a few worries with the weird things going on at night here... After yesterday hearing loud noises, and thinking twice of it. We look out the window, and 1 Patrol Car showed up, then 2 others. Makes us feel a lot safer, with the Police presence.

Questions & Answers

Officer Brian Valenti owes apologies to David Hogg, the Parkland Community, and the rest of the USA for such an incredibly vicious remark. Uncalled for, unprofessional, not funny. I'm sure he doesn't threaten his own family and friends.

Brian's comments are not indicative of what pur community expects from our officers. Our officers are expected to serve and protect and not post derogatory commentary about our kids. If you agree with his comments find him a job in your local dept.

Do you support Valenti’s suggestion that David Hogg be killed?!?!? He should be FIRED. What is so wrong with a kid speaking out? Should they all be killed? It’s pathetic and very, very WRONG.

He should be fired

Brian Valenti should be fired! A police officers job is to protect and serve - the American public. Not make veiled threats to a protester who survived the Parkland shooting. How are citizens expected to have faith or respect for law enforcement?

Fired for what? You and the rest of the snowflakes need to get a life. This policeman has a right to say what he wants.
