The food here is extremely good. A group of four of us were able to easily order food to go and everything was incredible. I got their French dip sandwich which was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Steak is cooked beautifully, the caramelized onions are so sweet, and the au jus to dip your sandwich in is out of this world with incredibly savory notes. I was also incredibly impressed to french fries they provided. These fries were like steak fries, and they give 1000 island-esque dipping sauce. The only reason I can’t give this are five stars because they are really shady when it comes to paying. They brought out my check that just had a total, but I cannot see the breakdown of those charges. Luckily, I had a feeling something was wrong, so I didn’t add a extra tip. This was good when I later asked for my itemized receipt as it clearly showed they added auto gratuity. Be aware that they add auto gratuity so that you don’t accidentally write something more in the “tip” line on the signable receipt.

Good food, good service, and great ambiance. With a party of 4 we got a wide selection of appetizers, sides, entrees, and deserts. Some items on the menu were not available, which to be honest was disappointing since I had to order my second choice sides. The prices are hefty but the food does have very distinct flavor and taste so you get what you pay for. It was good all in all but personally would not be at the top of my list when it comes to steakhouses in town. The rolls however were extremely delicious and I will be craving those for a very long time.

GO!!!! Go and thank me later. 10/10 easily my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City. Diego is the best chef. This is the beat steak house in the area by far. Jessica was a fabulous server. Clara was a great help. The hostesses were nice and friendly! I will definitely be back. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

While other high rating steak houses around the area were all full, we went to Spencer’s in hunger. Surprisingly there were a few tables open. Already feeling thankful. Place was not big nor fancy, but the food we got was top quality. The chefs special cut steak which was 60+ dollars did live up to its price and portion. We ordered medium, it was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, super tender and juicy inside. We also ordered bunch of sides in half serving, which was already big even at half portion. The mushroom was really flavorful and the Mac and cheese was definitely one of the best. Very honest business. Did I mention the fresh hot small bread before our meal started? Those bread was so well made. Details of this meal were well taken care of. I’d definitely come back again.
