My first and worse experience with Budget was this year in Miami Beach Collins Av. I booked a SUV car for a week trip. The car was not cleaned, hairs, personal stuff from previous driver. See pictures. Very not hygienic. Imagine a couple with a 5 year kid during the COVID. It’s unacceptable. Tank was almost empty. I was offered to wait the whole afternoon for someone to come and clean. After 1 hour waiting I have accepted the dirty car. I had to go clean myself somewhere and filled the tank in order to follow my road trip scheduled. Then I returned the car a Sunday as scheduled. They were closed. I returned the following day at 8am. They charged me another day. Not cool.

For us the process was quick and easy in mid March - actually they could offer a bit more information on pick-up as we were renting a car in the US for the first time. This is a general comment though, we noticed that customer service personnel are not very talkative in other places as well. Another nice surprise was the car we received: we paid for the Ford Focus or similar category and drove a 2019 Jeep. Finally, we dropped off the car at a different location (Miami International) where again, it went very smoothly with no unexpected fees (we filled in the gas tank before arriving). All in all, very pleased with this experience.
