My buddies and I have conducted our annual sighting in challenge here. Gets us ready for deer season. Always be extra cautious. Great area to spend the day.

Nice range and fairly well maintained. Some people come and just fire away with no regard for others so be prepared to handle some bad shooters. Early morning is the best time to come and have the range to yourself.

Cool range. Honor system payment envelopes. No range officer so safety is everyone's responsibility.

Awesome place to relax and shoot. No range officer so be smart. The stands are roughly 10 yards to 100 yards with metal frames and foam backers to staple targets. Bring a staple gun. Shooting costs $5 a day on the honor system which helps to support the range. Bottom line, these places are extremely rare in Maryland and need to be supported.

I believe you need to bring your own. It's just an open range, no rentals.

What days and hours is this range open?

Every day sunrise to sunset unless adverse weather or training. Best bet is to call the day before you plan on heading up.

Does this range allow AR-15s? alot of places are not allowing them and I just wanna go out and have some fun with my weapon.

Check out Cross Hairs

Is everyone here pretty smart about cease firing at same time so targets can be posted since there are no RSOs?

Everyone I have met has been safety consious and courteous about cease fires. I always introduce myself and chat a bit before unpacking. A friendly start goes a long way towards a good shooting experience.
