If you are looking for a facility that caters to every single need a child could have, then this is the place for you. My wife and I joined because of the outdoor aquatic facilities and the fact that they have "adult swim" times. Be sure to read that super fine print, though. There is literally never one second of one day that children are not in that area. Ever. It's either swim team, camps, or the ever elusive "programs." Currently, there is one pool that you can't use until after 4pm, so everyone is shoved into the main large pool, that inconveniently has lap lanes, all day, every day, all summer long, despite having lap lanes in the indoor pool. The pool deck, chairs, trash cans, etc are never hosed down and cleaned, so there are globs of sunscreen, gum, food, wrappers, and my favorite, Band-Aids, always present. The real nail in the coffin was the installation of a never ending barrage of speed bumps that are so tall, a sports car could potentially become high centered on them. Why the need for more speed bumps at this alarming height you ask? Why, children, of course! You never see Tommy or Sally on the stretch of road where these were excessively installed, because it's the back side of the building, so it seems wildly unnecessary. Time to prioritize who pays the bills, folks, cause it's not the kids that come for two-day camps; it's long-time members.

Family friendly, affordable (for all the things that come with the family membership), great facilities and welcoming environment. In my mind it has all the good things of planet fitness and lifetime, without the negative aspects of those gyms.

No better place for dance education and development than the J. High quality fitness center with a decent range of program options. Great community programs (e.g., theater, summer concerts, speakers, etc ).

I've been to several great gyms over the years, but the J is by far my favorite! It's a beautiful, welcoming facility with a wide range of equipment. The prices are very reasonable considering how much you have access to for a standard membership. I highly recommend it to folks of all ages!

You do not have to be Jewish, and a significant percentage of the staff come from other religious backgrounds. However, all staff are expected to be cognizant and respectful of Jewish practices and customs, including holidays and observances. The training process does not assume you are familiar with these topics, and will coach you on them (to the extent that is required to fulfill your responsibilities).
They have many swim programs for everyone.
Yes they require a membership. They have family, single, and senior rates. It includes the gym, pool (indoor and outdoor), free child care while at the JCC, a child care program and more. You 100% don't have to be Jewish, I would hazard a guess that there are less Jewish members than non-Jewish members.
