I found an adorable ashtray (really more of a catch all dish - I was going to use it for jewelry) that was made by a potter, and had a lovely flower on it. Well made, and obviously artisan made. I fell in love and took it to the register, a little leery of what the price might be because there was no price tag on it. In Maryland (and quite frankly every other Goodwill I’ve been to) they would reprice it right there, usually by up-pricing it a bit. Hence I was leery of what the price was going to end up being (I would have bought it anyway). I was immediately told the policy was they couldn’t sell it to me, it had to go back to the back, be priced, and they would put it out again the next morning before opening. I asked 3 times before I left, “It definitely won’t go out before tomorrow morning?”. I was assured each time that was policy. I show up the next morning at 10:00 sharp, when they opened, the item was not out, and they said it wasn’t in the back. I scoured the place. So they either lied to me and immediately repriced it and put it out, or they are keeping the nice stuff for themselves. Either way it’s BS, and now I think they’re shifty af. Additionally they overprice things exorbitantly. They’re selling items for close to, if not the same, to the price you can get them in the store, for new. So my advice, if you find a quality item and it doesn’t have a price tag, steal one from an other item, or kiss it goodbye. I won’t be going back to that goodwill, clearly. I will also be donating my items to a different charity. Response to Goodwill’s response: Then your worker should not have guaranteed to me, three times, that the item wasn’t going out again until the next morning. I even requested they take it back, review, and reprice the item at that time. I was willing to wait, and pay whatever they deemed appropriate. It was shoddy service, and I was lied to. The worker wasn’t even pleasant about it. I mentioned what happened to several other patrons the next day and they all admitted to just taking a price off something else, and slapping it in what they want, so maybe it’s time for a policy change. I was honest, and got burned. Again, I do not recommend Lincoln’s Goodwill, and will no longer be donating to Goodwill. I no longer trust you, your pricing is not thrift store pricing, and there are plenty of better charities that can use my money.

OVERPRICED!!! to the point of laughing. If someone was with me I will ask to pinch me to wake me up. I couldn't believe I was in Goodwill with their free donations. The program to provide jobs to someone in need / Goodwill's donation to charities are all good but DON"T help people in need entering the store. FAILED. It was very frustrating to see Lincoln Goodwill going downhill. NEED CHANGES!

I'm a Goodwill Girl but...this store is sketchy. It needs a thorough cleaning and better lighting, there's a funky smell happening and it desperately needs the clothing sorted by size and type so a customer can find what they want/ need and buy it! I am not spending my time or money there if they aren't willing to spend some of the same to make it a decent place to shop. ***I'll change my review when I see some positive changes at this location.
