I recently moved to town and contacted Modern Transmission Repair on the recommendation of a neighbor. I believed my transmission was going out. They evaluated my car and there was nothing wrong with the transmission! (Turns out that cars roll a little while stopping on hills and I wasn't used to it coming from a flat terrain! ) They did a diagnostic test but gave me a discount because they realized early on my transmission was fine! They easily could have told me my transmission was shot and charged me a lot of money! This business is amazing, especially Shay and John! I will continue to do business with them (they do more than just transmissions)! It is so hard to find an honest, reliable, reasonable auto business! I cannot sing their praises enough! Thank you, Shay and John!

I found this place accidentally as I was limping my car off the highway with a blown transmission. My luck couldn't have been better. The customer service was top notch: they answered all my questions in terminology I understood and worked with me on my schedule. I also had them do my inspection and they fixed an ongoing problem that my past two mechanics shrugged off as car old age. A transmission repair is always going to hurt but they really made it ok.

Have gladly come to trust and rely in Modern Transmissions Repair. Thought I would need major transmission repair on daughters Sonata. MT found the problem to be a minor fix. Then brought in my Hyundai Genesis with AWD issues and more. Modern Transmission doggedly kept after the issue till resolved. Runs better now than ever. Found everyone at the shop courteous, patient, fair. They take pride in their work and it shows. Modern Transmissions lets you to get back in your ride without taking you for one. They are tucked away there in Carnegie but for automotive care, definitely worth finding.
