Not open during hours stated and cannot get in touch with anyone via phone. I recently moved and changed banks and need to update bank information to get my tax return….. I guess the IRS needs more funding? Maybe congress could take .0001 of the military budget and direct it towards helping its citizens.

I have called the IRS directly over 80 times today, and have not gotten through. I am told by an automated voice that my call cannot be completed. The online tools to check the status of tax refunds and the stimulus check are useless. I get an unavailable status and a message saying a status cannot be provided. The explanations given for these messages are useless and unhelpful. This is beyond ridiculous, and I am very frustrated.

Called to see about forms to do my taxes. On hold for many minutes then voice says “due to high volume of calls call back at another time “. And I was disconnected. Great customer service NOT. AT least Oregon office returned call and will be mailing forms I need.

Dont even deserve one star. This is the absolute worst office. Its a disgrace to the federal system which is usually not tax payer friendly but this is completely ridiculous. There is only one employee, a tiny stuffy and stinky waiting room filled with people and one security guard. Only 2 chairs for 15 people. The wait is at least a half hour at a time. I have been coming for many years due to our business, but hate it and dread it every time. I think they do it on purpose because for example, today after lunch, there were 12 people including the guard and myself the one lady behind the counter was on the phone for 15 minutes to whoever she was talking to about non related work things as many people where there in the waiting room with no seats I had to leave or I would be late to work.

No. There is an option for Exemption due to inability to afford healthcare... In Oregon, anyway
You could make an appointment with the IRS in town and see if they could provide more information in person. You have to call to schedule the appointment. It is a separate number than the tax question number. Good luck. Anything IRS is irritating. Sorry.
Definitely.
We have no idea. We want to know the same thing.
You go down to the IRS office and ask them for a transcript of it
Quite possibly. But best thing to do is call the appointment line. That way you have a reserved time and know for sure
