Ellen,David, Kim and Josh made us feel like a part of the family. I am so happy that I chose this bed and breakfast for our four night stay in Matewan. We got the railroad suite and it was perfect for our family and friends. I can honestly say I have 0 complaints about this facility and the staff. The breakfast each morning was amazing the only thing that took some getting used to was the train at night, by the 2nd day we were so tired we got used to it. If you're looking for a awesome place to stay with all the amenities and people that treat you like family this is definitely the place and I would recommend this to anyone and I mean highly recommend this place to anyone they are awesome!. The entire bed and breakfast was really clean and had everything we needed right there. The only thing you need to bring is yourself friends family and your ATV or sxs. I hope everyone enjoys their stay as much as we did I will definitely be coming back to stay with Ellen and David Hatfield.

Place is great. The hospitality makes it even better. Truly felt like we were visiting great friends by day 2. Unbelievably convenient to trails. And Matawan as a town makes riders feel so welcome. If you are a light sleeper you will likely hear trains at night but it definitely adds an character to the stay.

Ellen and Dave were absolutely fantastic... stayed in the "Bunk Rooms" during a recent visit. Here's the thing, if you are a light sleeper, there is literally a freight train that passes back and forth throughout the night - multiple times. It is loud, and it does shake the building... Breakfast was decent, beverages (non-alcoholic) were included, bagged ice and snacks as well. Thank you for everything!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Excellent access to the trails. Ellen and David are great host. You'll get used to the train coming through at 3am. It's kinda adds to the charm. Walk to restaurants. Be warned, bring you own liquor if you want a drink other than beer and wine. Can't get a bourbon for miles
