Recently completed the morning track which took about 11 months. I was very impressed with the structure of the program because I was able to retain the antomomy very well with touch, feel, and knowledge. The teachers in the program go above and beyond to make sure you follow the proper mechanics and understand each modality. Highly recommend for body work and massage as a solid foundation as a heal practioner!

If you’re thinking about getting enrolled into a massage program then don’t look any further! SFSMB is the perfect school to get you jump started into the massage field. From the moment you join, staff and teachers are available to help and guide you through the program step by step. Absolutely generous with the options you have to complete payments for tuition. Everyone a part of this school is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. The best thing about it is you get the chance to work with all different types of professional instructors. All with their own unique style of teaching massage. Various opportunities to pick and choose your own personal tools and techniques. Something really important that this school is adamant on teaching is body mechanics!! They really want us to have a long lasting successful future! I’m lucky to have such knowledge on my posture, breathing and grounding. SFSM is a really clean and hygienic place, as well as the clinic, always keeping up with the latest covid guidelines. They’re equipped with everything all you’d have to bring is your own sheets to class! By the end of the program, post graduation, I feel more confident and especially prepared for my future career! I highly recommend to attend this school!

I started school halfway through the 2020 madness and was admittedly very skeptical if I was making a good move. But all of the teachers, staff, and admin were so diligent and dedicated to our class, and I'm so happy I made this decision. Less than one month after graduating I landed a job in the field that I love!

I just graduated from San Francisco School of Massage and Bodywork's 600 hr massage program. The months I spent here were totally transformative. My class was full of amazing people, my instructors were kind and accommodating, and the administrative staff was always available to answer questions or help with anything you needed. During school you are required to spend 80 hours in the student clinic. During these hours I was able to tune my style, and build my confidence as a therapist. The clinic has a manager, and at the end of a shift we would sit and discuss any challenges or successes that shift brought. The managers then provide advice, and valuable feedback. This program is primarily hands-on, which I think was very valuable, when practicing in class you could verify with your instructor or teacher's assistant if you're doing the demonstrated strokes correctly before taking it to clinic. There are lectures, which the instructors style in a very engaging way, like interactive anatomy classes, or business classes including real-world examples. Sarah, the assistant director, is very interactive after and during the program to help you with job placement and applying for your licensure. I am very impressed with her and the administrative staff's responsiveness and clear communication. I think this school is ran very well, with well thought out course progression, and a very safe place to practice your craft in clinic. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone looking for a solid foundation in massage therapy + certification.
