Positive: Location. Excellent view. Easy access to inside amenities/room. Mo was a fabulous host. Nice size room. Safe. Comfortable. Fair pricing. Negative: Bedrooms need some updating- even if just linens and wall decor (furniture and tvs to follow). Dated, from decades ago.

Very spacious room, full of natural light, 3rd fl, corner. The view of the New York harbor was unique, especially at night. So was Verrazzano Bridge. Right across is the Alice Austen museum & Park. A simple continental breakfast was available every morning. Good enough to start the day. The manager was very pleasant and patient. He did take my luggage up & down to the 3rd fl., for which I am thankful. This is not a hotel. No personal detailed service is advertised & should not be expected.

I loved this place!! The view is just amazing, the neighborhood is calm, you'll have anything you need near the place (convinience store, pharmacy, Chinese restaurant, dunkin donuts, food market open 24/7). Literally a small bit of paradise. The owner welcomed me warmly and was very helpful. He's so kind and always make sure I was having a nice stay. The place is clean, cosy and warm. I strongly recommend it !! Thank you so much, I had such an amazing time at that place!

I loved everything about this bed and breakfast! My boyfriend was beyond nervous about driving his car from Georgia to New York for our visit. Staying in Manhattan would have been difficult to find affordable and safe parking. Staten Island and the Harbor House Bed and Breakfast was the solution. We had peace of mind being able to see our car secure at night and when we woke up. And it was free! The owner greeted me with helpful advice and a tour through the surprisingly large home. The two door system and personal room keys added to my feeling of security and comfort as a guest. We had a private bathroom and a fridge in our room that we got to enjoy to ourselves. And when we looked out of our window we got to see the beautiful Manhattan skyline and hear the sounds of the waves hitting the shore. It was about a ten minute Lyft ride to the Staten Island Ferry which is also free and follows a convenient schedule going back and forth to Manhattan. The breakfast served at the Harbor House featured fresh bagels, fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juices, etc. I was more than pleased but if nothing there sparks your interest there is an amazing local bagel shop right around the corner. Lastly, when I announced my surprise engagement to the owner I felt like I was telling a friend. I was touched by the congratulations and happy wishes that were extended to us. We will definitely be back!

They have different rates for week and single day, a depends on how generous the owner is which from what I understand he's a good guy
Walk to the 1 train on 34th ST. Get on take it Downtown to South Ferry, where upon exiting you will follow the signs to Staten Island Ferry, board it (which it's free) and take the 25 min ride to Staten island and then get on the s51 bus down to Bay St and St. Mary's. Get off, make the left after Dunkin Donuts and walk two blocks down to the end of the block (Edgewater St). Make a right and its right before the end of Edgewater on your right hand side right before the bend.
