Quality Inn Meadowlands in Lyndhurst, NJ is very poor. I will never stay here again. No one knows what they are doing and they lie. I called to make reservations and they said I would have to book online which I did through Booking.com like they suggested. I called the hotel back to let them know and the guy gave me 2 room numbers. When we arrived before checking in a woman was nice to let us know the room wasn't ready yet. We went a had a bite to eat in their restaurant. When we went back to check in there were 2 other people behind the desk. They said our rooms changed, that whomever stayed in it the night before had extended their stay. Which didn't make sense since the first person said it wasn't ready. Anyway we got a couple other rooms. All night we heard people arguing outside our door. I called the front desk at 2:30 AM and someone spoke with the people. It was long after they were at it again. When I checked out the next morning, I spoke with the guy that checked us in. I told him I'd like to be compensated for the 2 rooms because of the people that kept us up all night and we had a 4 hour drive on little sleep. He said he'd have to check with his supervisor. I told him to do so. There was a woman next to him, whom I assumed was his supervisor because he asked me if I wanted a receipt showing my credit. Well I should have looked at it before I left because it wasn't a credit, it was showing I paid for the rooms. I have since called them and tried getting my money back and they are saying I have to call Booking.com because I booked it through them. I called Booking.com who had called them but the supervisor was conveniently not there. Booking.com was going to call me once they reached the supervisor. I waited about a week or so and called Booking.com again. They said they tried calling the hotel again but never rec'd a call back. Booking.com said they'd give me a 10% discount. I will never stay at that hotel again!! Not only because of this experience but it's dark and not updated. Smells like smoke even though it's supposed to be smoke free. The shower had great pressure but the tub drained very slowly. If I knew the Marriot was across the street, I would have booked there.

sink wasn't connected to a hot water source, had to use the shower if I wanted warm water. showerhead was installed by a moron, water was spraying backwards from the seam. Keycard had to be replaced 3x in the span of 2 days because it didn't work on the door. the "free buffet breakfast" closed 30 minutes early the one day I could use it. The TV has like 20 sports channels and about 3 others making it essentially worthless. Plus the usual paper thin walls, corroded and moldy shower parts, noisy wall heater.

The hotel was unable to provide us a room that didn't have a maintenance issue and refuses to refund us for the 1 night reservation. We arrived at checked in the evening of a concert at MetLife Stadium in the beginning of August. The first room had a wet carpet and an industrial fan blowing on it. We were then given a hot room with an Air Conditioner that blew hot air. They put in a maintenance call as we went to dinner and the room was still hot when we got back before leaving for the show. Another call dispatched the maintenance worker to the room as we left. After the show, we arrived to the room still hot and blowing hot air. The front desk changed our room again. This room too, was hot and the Air Conditioner did not work. Only after the front desk said they did not have another room for us, we asked for a refund. I was told they couldn't issue a refund as I handed them the room key. I asked them to make a note of the situation and we drove all the way back home, after midnight, the one thing we didn't want to have to do and why I reserved the room back in March in the first place. My calls and emails were never answered or returned. manager Christopher Murray only replied in response to the Choice Hotel's Quality Inn customer survey. He stated that housekeeping was made aware of the issue and that an investigation and findings has led to the incident being reported to local authorities and that I would be contacted directly, not in a public forum. I have no idea what this means, and nobody has contacted me, replied again, or called me back as I leave emails and calls regularly.

Booked thru Expedia just so my kids can use the pool and when we got there the pool was closed due to capacity. Asked the lady can I cancel she said yes. Now I can’t get a refund because that’s their policy. They can keep the $130 for the room and get rid of the cigarette smell in the lobby. Rooms are not updated.
