I used to get such good care here. BUT I went in today by ambulance I was sent to the waiting room in a wheelchair and was forgotten about. Everyone who came in after me were seen before me. I was in the waiting room for 3 hours. I never waited that long no matter how busy it was. I wound up walking out. Y'all better take better care of patients who arrive at the emergency room seruously

Monday night I fractured three bones in my ankle and was brought to Clara Maass Medical Center’s ER. I was brought in on a stretcher by the EMTs and we were being sent to different locations for a specific ER. We then were finally led to the correct spot and I got placed in a room. While I was able to get X-rays quickly, at no point was I given pain medication. Two doctors came into my room to ask how my pain level was and to inform me of my fractures and I clearly stated 10 because the pain was awful and they never gave me anything. The one doctor then said I would need surgery and would have to wait to be admitted into the hospital and be given a room which would be about 1-2 hours. He never explained the surgery or why I’d need it and again I was not offered pain medication. My assumption, as I’ve never had surgery before, was maybe I wasn’t allowed any because I would be getting surgery the next day. This was all before 12am. Fast forward several hours and I was still in the ER by the next morning. I was not informed that they would need to wait for a room to be available until we asked at 2am why it had been longer than 2 hours and the RN said they have no available rooms. In addition to no pain medication and being lied to about the room situation, I was not offered breakfast and I was unaware that my surgery would not be until 5pm so at this point I had not had food for 24 hours. I finally get transferred to a room at 10am on Tuesday where my nurse Katie was incredibly helpful and I finally receive pain medication. Because my surgery was for 5pm, I still had no food in my system. Fast forward to 5pm, I start getting transferred to the OR and they get a call that my surgeon won’t be there until 8:30/9pm. While my surgeon was kind when I finally met her and explained what the surgery was 10minutes before the surgery, I didn’t appreciate finding out so late that the time would be changing as again I was unable to eat (I didn’t get to eat until the following morning on Wednesday but I wasn’t asked what I wanted so they gave me food I couldn’t eat due to dietary restrictions). While I am glad that I was able to get in for a surgery quick enough for my ankle injury, these other issues would prevent me from going to this hospital again.

Before giving birth the care was great and even excellent. When it was time for my labor in 9/11/21. I didn’t like it. The nurse put the epidural hard as heck. I didn’t like it and it made me feel like I shouldn’t have had the epidural. Then when I was already dilated in 10cm. It was an easy 7 minutes push out for my baby to come out but the doctor who was assisting or midwife that was there had grabbed my baby with roughness. And I didn’t like that.

Went there to deliver my baby Tuesday 1/19/22 delivered Wednesday 1/20/22 from the time I got in the hospital the staff was excellent very friendly and kind they made me feel so comfortable every nurse, doctor, house keeping and dietary staff I came across was so nice welcoming kind caring and friendly. They even gave me toys for my 2 other children a little toy for my baby and a going home cake. I would highly recommend this hospital for the staff alone. My only problem was the sharing the bathroom part but it was only for 3 days so I dealt with it and the food was decent to be hospital but always cold I know it’s because they have to deliver other meals. I love them 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I have to drop my wife off for surgery next week. Will I be allowed to wait in the waiting area for the day and then visit her in her room or are their COVID-19 protocols that do not allow me to be in the hospital at this time
They put me in a room with 1 of their friends who had it i don't can they be held liable for my death
yes, both voluntary and involuntary admissions

Fairly busy, but you'll get seen and assessed quickly.
Yes.
You can verify with the registrar's or admitting for a more detailed answer. If she needs to go, they will attend to her.
In their radiology department, which by the way is almost never crowed or a long wait. And they give you the disk of your xray or scan.
Call the maternity ward & ask them

This is a question for Social Services. All public NJ hospitals must render emergency care and stabilize the patient with or without insurance or ability to pay.
As far as I know there are no dental services at Clara Maass at all
I'm not sure but you can call to find out
It's $5 whether you stay 5 minutes or all day. Also there is very little handicapped parking.
Yes they have one
My daughter-in-law delivered their baby there 2 1/2years ago, seemed very nice, nurses let the baby stay w/mom
Only a dr can get the records sent to them, then they can explain them to her
