A warm fellowship, that combines modern technology (audio visual, lighting, effects etc) to carry a message by the founding pastor, John Ortberg, who has evolved traditional values with the changing landscape of today's world. I attended a service in Menlo Park 18 years ago, and 2 recently in San Mateo, and it is refreshing to see that John does not pander to the genesis of values created by the social media generation, by rather, gives gentle corrections to those that seek approval by others, rather to have them look in their hearts, and to find the best in themselves. The Congregation is mostly millennials-families, many gen x and older, all very warm; has a complementary coffee/latte bar with donuts, good music, and a solid message. One thing to clarify: the Sermon is broadcast on large screens in all the locations except the Menlo Park location (I am assuming as such, as John can not be in several places at once, only one being has that capability...), while much of the service is attended personally by staff at the campuses locally. This had zero impact on my experience either way, but some people might prefer to know that it is a live sermon.

If you want your kids to grow up with with morals, send your kids to Menlo.Church, San Mateo, CA. The sermons are great for the soul, and the coffee is quality and so... awesome with free donuts. YUM! Everyone needs a balance of mind, body and spirit. At Menlo Church, they take care of your spirit part to stay healthy and stable.
