I had to have a molar removed, the dentist began working on it, being extremely rough. So rough that he dislocated my jaw, he didn’t stop pulling on my jaw even when I was crying telling him my jaw was popping and I was in pain. After about 45 minutes of excruciating pain he removed the tooth and walked out of the room. No antibiotics, ibuprofen, no after care instructions given. I called two days later asking to be seen again as I was still in horrible pain, this time a different dentist just looked in my mouth and said I can only give you antibiotics because the dentist who pulled it isn’t here. I told the front seat and dental assistants I never received after care instructions and they only said, “sorry about that”. I will never go back to these people it was the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist.

Even though I was (and still am) on a walk-in basis (where you cant schedule an appointment due to being a no show previously), after not being able to eat on the left side of my mouth for years, I had an excruciating hole in my molar drilled out and perfectly filled the first day we called in! I was almost 99% sure I either wasn't going to be seen or need a root canal... The staff and dentists were very sweet and chatty! Much appreciation!

I stopped going here because of all the crap they pulled. I got many teeth pulled here, but when it came time for dentures they told me I had to have a partial because they refused to pull 'perfectly healthy teeth' that I *wanted* gone so i could get a full denture. And when they gave me the partial, it didn't fit right and rubbed my gums. I switched to Western Dental, which I suggest for anyone that's on Medi-cal like I am.

Ampla Dental methodically cancelled *every single appointment* of each and every member of my family, one at a time, over a period of almost 2 years. So at this point, NO ONE in my family has been a dentist in two years and there is no one in Chico who will take Medi-Cal. Dr. Siri is a nice doctor, but he/they should have hired someone to replace Dr. Vang ASAP. By the way, he's still listed as a Chico dentist on your website even though he left at the beginning of this summer and it's almost October of 2015 now. I've also noticed that if you know the tattooed girl at the front desk, a person can get an appointment easily and when you're physically in the office, you can be seen before anyone else. If you don't know her or if you don't fit her criteria, then you're SOL. My review will do nothing though, because the entire Ampla Health System is run by the same people and if you call to complain, they will take your complaint with a grain of salt. They are the ONLY options for anyone with medi-cal.
