Nice tour and very informative information on the signs to be read. Our tour guide placed a lot of emphasis that she was new, which led to the quality of our tour. She was really patient and did really well with the extremely young, inquisitive children on the tour though. I enjoyed the old Charlotte signs exhibit near the lobby.

I took my 4.5 year old and 10 month old and we had THE BEST TIME! We walked around the property, had lunch, then played a bit in the child space before taking the guided tour with Nolan. I cannot even begin to tell you how outstanding and engaging Nolan was!! So much knowledge, so much fun, and clearly a lot of interest and passion for what he was sharing. The fact that my 4 year old hung out for over an hour was astounding. Thank you for such a fantastic experience. Overall a simple place, easy to get around, nice grounds. The giant bell that chimed on the tour was also a hit.

Learned a lot. Staff is very informative. Exhibits are well done showing the life of the revolution, settlers, and native American Indians (this was my favorite).

Just like many other reviews this museum has a lot of information about the history of Charlotte foundings. You will find a ton of information, interactive displays, visual& interactive portraits and signage, exhibits, and of course the main attraction of the 1774 Alexander Rock House. Self guided tours are available as well as the chance to ring & tour the liberty/freedom bell. outside.

If there is, it has been added in the past five months. I did not see it in April.
It took us about 2 hours with the tour.. depends on how much time you spend at the exhibits..
