We have lived here for over a year and my daughter always does the grocery shopping going only to your store. I entered motherhood with another chain, but my trip a few days ago saddened me. Trolley after trolley filled with items the need to be put on shelves. I decided to pay only for what I have and drive the extra 3 miles to your store. When I got in the store, I was shocked!! It was the size of a warehouse. So many items that the Food Lion on the last city didn't have. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. It took me an hour to get the things I needed and found $45.00 of things that weren't on my list! THANK YOU 🥝🦁 (FOOD LION)

They keep the store clean and they meats are always fresh also the fresh fruits. I am a diabetic and I was trying to find a sugar that diabetic can use off line and it says at Walmart but thank God that food Lion had what I was looking for. And they keep it stock too.

This was labeled as mozzarella sticks, and someone got them for me, believing they were mozzarella sticks. I tasted one, but can't identify what it is. ??? She's really upset she wasted her money. Edit: I went back to get my own mozzarella sticks, which they did have and properly labeled this time. Note to self (and the other person who tried to get mozz sticks for me): it's a no on Food Lion mozz sticks...they don't seem to be Food Lion's strong point. On another note, *please* take a look at the stunning desserts in the bakery--you will say "Wow" more than once! I wish they had a sampler/mix of the cupcakes so I could taste them all: strawberry filled, cookies and creme, there looked like one with white chocolate...i was "a kid in the candy shop" looking at all the beautiful cakes, cupcakes, bars, etc. If you are having a bad day, looking at these fresh, enticing, colorful desserts will lighten your mood. During non-peak times, clerks/cashiers very warmly greet and invite you to the registers. Food Lion workers have that overall cordial countenance. You can watch the sale papers (especially if you sign up to get them in the mail) and eventually find a good deal on ~many~ basic items: right now they have six-pack bottled Coke products at 5/$10! You pay for what you get: there's no "You must buy all 5 products to get the sale price" like some other stores do. I wish there were a Food Lion in Estill.
