Wasted time going to a job and the girl didn't have the right place for me and theres not even a job available. So time was wasted going to somewhere that wasnt even hiring and now theres no jobs available. They shouldn't get peoples hopes up when people need jobs otherwise they will be homeless. Its not right.

*They buy good reviews. Don't get fooled look at the 5 star vs 1 star ratio.* The absolute worst staffing agency I've ever been to (and I use to live in a big city). First I signed up and I got called by Adeline. She was great. So far, my experience was amazing. However, as soon as I walked into their office, I knew I made a mistake. I got in contact with Mary, who promised me a job the next week and said she'd call before the next Monday for all the details and to find work boots. I waited until Sunday and still no call so I decided to take matters into my own hands and call Mary. She didn't pick up. She never picks up. I even left a voicemail and she never got back to me. Like, seriously? If you dont like your job just quit. Theres no use in just sitting around all day promising people jobs, never delivering and making no attempt at it. After that, I continued to call Mary as per her orders to check in weekly and ask if there are any new jobs. I would call, shed know why I was calling and tell me there were no new jobs except some in Modesto which she knew was out of my limit. After a while, I got suspicious and logged into the website where there were quite a bit of jobs posted a variety and all in Stockton. I called Mary that week and just as she started her "there are no new jobs" routine, I stopped her and asked her about the ones posted online and she was stumped for a while and told me that I needed a typing certificate which I already had. A whole 3 months passed and I decided to focus on other things other than my job search. After some time, I decided to try again since this company already had my ss number and I learned to be very careful where I enter it. This time another woman picked up the phone. I cannot remember her name. This is very unfortunate because she was absolute trash at her job. I called and she interrupted me saying she was interviewing another person. I understood since I heard a lot of noise in the background and felt sympathy. Though, in retrospect, the people at Select seem to call people in to make the office look busy. I came in, even though I had told this woman that Mary already interviewed me, to get interviewed a second time for unknown reasons. I arrived around 12 pm at an office with only 3 other people waiting and left when the office closed at around 5 pm waiting to get called in and get a redundant interview. The woman was incredibly rude and apparently some people seem to agree. During the interview I asked her how would get paid since Mary gave me literally no information about it-- or anything else, really for that matter as Mary left me with more questions than answers. She snapped at me and raised her voice almost yelling saying I wasn't yet employed as if I didn't get to that obvious conclusion yet. During that same interview, she gave me a new form to fill out that Mary never even mentioned. I filled it out, which asked for my SS number yet again, and gave it to her as they closed. I was never called and doubt the position ever existed. I don't recall her name but I remember she had eyebrows similar to Sarah Huckabee... those are the distinguishing features. You need RECENT 6 months experience at the very least to be considered. The process goes a little like this.. You sign up and give them all your sensitive information. Then you can go into their office to get lied to about getting a job during your 'interview' with them. They send several candidates' (that's you plus other people working for Select) information and resumes and make you hope for the best. At least that was the process for an office position that I never got called for even though I was more than qualified. In conclusion, this was the worst experience in my time at Stockton and would never reccomend Select Staffing to ANYONE. * Save your time, look elsewhere. * They probably just want your information or just want to get flooded by voicemails since THEY NEVER PICK UP. It was a complete waste of time.

I came to select staffing seeking job opportunities, first off the service there was so bad every time I asked a question the young woman talked over me cutting me . so i had a few questions about the application and I began to ask, before I could fully get my question out the woman says there's nothing we can do about it thank you.very rudely. I was instantly turned off. The only work available was warehouse and heavy lifting jobs which I didn't mind at all. It was the lack of customer service the two woman provided they didn't even try to help me or answer my questions.

Select Staffing worked me around for 2 weeks before eventually telling me, I had to have been working the last 6 months to be eligible for a job from them. If I was working the last 6 months, I wouldn't be going to a staffing agency in the first place. They clearly don't know what they're here for. I've been working since I was 16, have skills in many different areas, and they wouldn't even try to give me a job. Worst agency I've been to by far.
