My wife and I had enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Antrim 1844. Antrim 1844 has a lot of history and it’s fun to explore the building and the grounds. The garden has a great view and the food was excellent. It’s a prefixed multi course meal, but the portions are very generous. The mood is cozy and intimate. We will be back again.

Stayed here last May at the Smith House upstairs suite. It was absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The grounds were beautiful, the suite was gorgeous, the ambiance at night was beyond relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and filling. I cannot wait to stay here again!

There are some restaurants that you go to a couple of times a year for special occasions. This is not one of those. This is the kind of restaurant that you go to once every few years for really special occasions. The food is amazing. 6 courses with each one better than the last. The service is amazing, and the ambiance makes you forget, even for a short time, that you live in the 21st century. If you're looking for a place to celebrate your child passing their bar exam or your last student loan payment or your 10 year anniversary, come here. Treat yo' self. It's pricey but worth it.

My initial call before arriving was disarming; however, once we got there we were only met with wonderful customer service from everyone. The buildings and grounds were charming and our room was very comfortable. We loved the jacuzzi tub and bedding! While there were many positives, I thought there were a few things that could've added to the experience. Our room as well as the larger house could use some attention to detail in certain areas (e.g. some of our room window blinds weren't operable, no housekeeping service in our room, would be nice to have fresh coffee/tea, muffins, etc brought to the individual houses (if not each room) in the mornings/afternoons. Smokehouse dinner was AMAZING and good value for the quality of ingredients and service!!!! We stayed at Inn at Little Washington a few months ago and had dinner there and I'd say the Smokehouse dinner was on par. I'd highly recommend, if you're able to make a reservation. With that said, I think the building that the Smokehouse is in could use a redesign/sprucing - the space was a bit dark/dingy. In addition, while the dinner was great, I must assume that the breakfast is not made by the same chef. If possible, it would be nice to step up the quality of the breakfast to the same level as dinner. All in all, I'd revisit for the dinner, but believe it may be best to stay at the mansion, instead of one of the surrounding homes on the property. In addition, I'd recommend that you make your room reservation by phone, if you plan to take advantage of one of their packages. We had a little mixup regarding their current Wine & Dine room package; however, they were able to get it worked out upon checkout.
