1: Lots of flat trails, There is one Archery Range, Fishing, Swimming area near pond, Camping in Tents and also Cabins. 2: Cabins are 5 miles away from main campground but offer nice views of the Bear Hill Pond, Showers only at main campground not at Cabins. Pit toilets available near the Cabin Camps. I would prefer staying in tents at main campground since many facilities, trails nearby. Cabins preferred if you don't want to setup tent. 3: Most cabins have 6 people staying capacity with beds and table chairs. Everything was clean. Trail markings could have been better, Many times don't know where to go.

A little bit of something for everyone. Over 50 miles of walking trails, Bike riding , archery range. Rentable hall for occasions. The list goes on. It's a great state park and definitely worth a look. If you want to do walking trails/ horse riding/ or biking. Id suggest going to the podunk Rd. Gate

Im sure if you made an enquiry they'd be more then happy to allow one
Nope. The suspect died in jail and they are using familial DNA to try and identify them. Hopefully soon.
Just to play it safe, we booked one of the sites we can park our car at.
Murder mystery and great camping!
$4 for adults. $2 for children over age 5. age 5 and under are free
Yes at the campsites with firepits
Yes . before u even enter bear brook u can ride along the side of the main road. They have signs that show u the trails even lil stop signs. Mostly for snow machines but also for the atv riders
It has the amenities needed. Awesome playground, bathrooms, grills, picnic tables. Its still a brook!?
I think you buy the pass online
I know you can have family reunions there, I think you pay buy the car .
I believe you have to bring your own tents or camper
Not without special permission.. not sure how hard that'll be to get. My guess is unlikely
I didn't see any trailers but they have cabins.
We brought 2 inflatable kayaks, and had no problems using them
Probably depends on the type of chair. Some of them are vehicle tracks through the woods, some are graded. They're well marked on the trail map, the ones marked as trails, probably not. They're narrow, single file, often rocky.
I'm not sure if there is a dedicated swimming area for dogs or if they are allowed at the beach area but there are plenty of spots to access the water along some of the hiking trails that would be good place for a dog to get in the water without bothering anyone
Not sure. I was there over the weekend and didn't hear any ATV nor saw any ATV at other people campsites. But I did notice that some of there trails can have ATV
No, I don't believe WiFi is available at all and limited cellular service
There are no electrical outlets at the tent sits.
Don't know. May want to look at web site or call them
If you are worried about wild animals you shouldn’t go anywhere outside of your car. Bring a shotgun? Really?
Backet only
I believe you need to reserve the two covered large party locations but the picnic tables that are scattered around are first come first serve
The camp store always had firewood available when I visited. I don't remember seeing any for sale in close proximity to the campground, but I only stayed for 2 nights once and 1 night the other time so I wasn't worried about getting it super cheap.
I don't think so.
Yes
I dont see why not, people use Coleman grills...
Yes during the winter only.the gate are closed now.bear Brook trails are shared trails.atv snowmobile and trail bikes.i ride atv and I see alot of studded up two wheelers. Has to be registered.
The park opens in June and is gated, gates close at 8pm
Yes. They have tent sites and camper sites, as well as, cabins.
The murders were in the 80's and it wouldn't be the first time a serial killer disposed of bodies in a state park. The killer died in prison for unrelated murders.
As others have said, depending on the park, you may be able to get a site on the fly. I would recommend a reservation regardless.
Anybody can get in and swim for the $4 day use fee
I believe you can use what is fallen but not to cut down anything. But always ask when entering the park.
Besides the previous answers, there's also a pond for fishing just for children under 12. I'm not sure what kind of fish they stock in there though. That's across from the archery area.
Probably the ages of the kiddos matter, best option would be to call as Sarah suggested
I know some parks have an Iron Ranger which is for paying on the off-season. I would check signage at the park to see if it's acceptable not to pay. Last I checked, if you didn't pay the Iron Ranger and were caught you could get a trespassing fine.
It's a nice area, unfortunately they had to cut all the hardwood trees down in a large area, because of a bug that was brought there from out of state. The bug was eating all the hardwood and the only way to get rid of t gen is to take their food away. Plenty of huge pine trees
Water access is within walking distance (closer to some than others) and not all sites have electricity but there are some specific sites.
Yes they are.
