Fun place, very pretty. There is a cool hike that goes up above the chimneys and it’s very fun to explore. There is also a river, and a pool. The campsites are nice, but small, and if you’re wanting to save some money and have the time, you can find wood in the woods to burn. The only downside is the pool costs $4 though, and you have to pay at the visitors center and not the pool area.

This is a gorgeous place just full of nature. The information about how the Chimneys were created was wonderful and informative. We also hiked a couple of the nature walks which were beautiful to see. The camping area is large and spacious, the rest rooms were clean and nice. The office personnel were friendly and helpful. Although we did not take our rig into this particular campground. It seemed as though it would be fairly easy to get a large rig around and are hoping to make use of this campground when we are back in the area.

Very nice campground with spacious camp site. Very quiet and really nice for the kids. I can't understand why they would close the pool during the week just because school started. What about the adults? What about the preschool aged kids? They would like to swim too. Maybe this is a policy that should be relooked.

Probably not worth driving a long way just to see this, but if you live in or are visiting the region, it is worth the stop. We visited on a beautiful Fall day - the rocks are nice to view and there are nice flat walking trails. We may decide to camp here sometime in the future.

There is parking all around the Chimneys. You have to cross into a grassy spot in front of the Chimneys to see them. Or you can drive in front of them and see them from your car. Maybe about 80 yard distance. There is only places for campers or tents. This campground doesn't have cabins for lodging like some campgrounds do. Hope this helps.
