Selected this location as we were to be staying one night with our dog, but, plans changed and I ended up traveling solo. The motel itself was fine. Linens were a bit outdated, but that stuff doesn’t actually matter to me. My room was very clean. Room 18 is right next to the street, so there was a lot of traffic noise. This wouldn’t have been ideal for me had I been staying more than a night, but it wasn’t terrible for 1 sleep. The reason for the 4 star review was the phone call that I received at about 9pm the night I was arriving. I was asked what time I would be checking in, and I said 10pm. They said they would leave my room unlocked for me. As a female traveling alone, I didn’t love this. All ended up being fine. (I’ve clearly watched too many scary movies and was sure to have my husband in the phone with me when I went into the room, checking behind doors and in closets!). As I shared with the gentleman that called, I reviewed their website to see if there was any check in information specified, and there was not. While I had intended to arrive earlier, my plans had changed. Had I known that they close up the office at 9pm, I may have been able to urge my plans ahead to have left earlier. If the office closes at a certain time, it would be helpful for travelers to be aware of that while making their travel plans. Posting on the website would be helpful. That said, when I checked out, the people seemed very friendly and welcoming. I was even offered a cup of coffee for the road!!!

Absolutely charming and interesting property and cottages with lots of beautiful plants, vegetation and trees. We stayed in number 1. Even at night, there was cute lighting and we even spotted fireflies near the gazebo swing! The only downside for the price, was the bed. It was a bit hard & the middle sunken in a bit. My back was a little mad at me for it. The comforter also seemed dated and uncomfortable. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and even got the chance to enjoy the pool! Good for anyone looking for fun amenities and a good location!

Such a charming cottage! Super friendly staff and everything you need for a great stay. Inexpensive and simple yet beautiful location. I loved the gazabo, play set, and beautiful gardens! Thank you!!

We will definitely be coming back! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. The woman, who I assume is the owner, was so nice and she was genuinely interested in getting to know her guests and made it clear that everyone staying there was her number one priority.
