Well worth a visit. I do think it's a bit overpriced, but would surely go again and recommend Discovery Cove. Very easy check-in process. The park was very clean upon arrival, but got pretty messy as the day went on. Drinks were left near empty beach chairs and in the sand. The showers were dirty (because guests left it this way). They did however turn over tables very quickly in the dining area. Breakfast and lunch was delicious. My only complaint is the buffet line, mostly the lunch line, was very long and could have been laid out better to allow for quicker service. Everything else was great! The the lazy rivers and snorkeling was awesome. I also enjoyed the aviary. This is totally an all day thing so arrive as soon as the park opens. We were there before most of the crowd and didn't have to wait long for anything. Also, the landscaping is amazing, it makes you forget you're in the middle of a Florida and not on a Caribbean island.

Discovery Cove is absolutely beautiful, we 100% recommend it and we will be returning! We went on the Friday of Mother’s Day weekend (my wonderful boyfriend treated me :) and it wasn’t busy at all. We got there at 7:15AM (try to get there at 7:00AM to check in, get your gear and have breakfast) and we stayed until 5:00PM. We really enjoyed the Seaventure (it was super cold, but so cool being in the water with fish and large stingrays swimming around you. We had a school of beautiful fish swim circles around us and we got to hold little critters), Winding River (it was wide, long, deep and relaxing) and Snorkeling in the Grand Reef (there were fancy fish, stingrays (I even touched one and it was so soft) and sharks in there. Lots of nice coral and it was also cold). It really was amazing! You can wear a wetsuit all day or wear a vest with your swimwear. I suggest wearing the vest because it’s hard getting in and out of the wetsuit to use the restroom all day. They provided everything, you really don’t need to bring much of anything with you. We didn’t take many photos because we left our phones in our lockers all day, so do bring one of those pouches to put your phone in while in the water...you will want to capture your day.

Incredible experience at Discovery Cove. From the second we entered the customer service was Incredible. Very friendly, and attentive employees, lifeguards, and just everyone playing their role into keeping it in operation. The employees seem to truly enjoy their jobs and added immensely to our positive experiences. Food and drinks are unlimited with the option to upgrade to an alcohol package of harder and mixed drinks, too. Food is served in snacks, breakfast and lunch, offered in a buffet style fashion or snacks are found at refreshment stands with drinks. We ate a ton of a food, and had multiple drinks, definitely getting our monies worth. And, unlike most parks, the food was actually Incredible! Swimming experience range from a lazy river that is 8ft deep and flows through a series of waterfalls, and wildlife haven. A Dolphins cove, where one can sign up and swim with a dolphin in a personal encounter. And third, my personal favorite, a true reef experience, and an opportunity to swim with multiple species of fish and sting ray, which swim right next to you, and you can simply reach out and untouch. The price of the day is worth that experience alone! Park is kept at a certain capacity for safety of wildlife and provides that its never overly busy and always a comfortable experience. Absolutely loved our time at Discovery Cove and will be returning customers (wife already has been), for sure. Highly recommended as one of my favorite parks in Orlando.

Discovery Cove is an all inclusive resort that offers visitors to interact with a range of marine animals including dolphins. My absolute favorite part was the grand reef, there were eagle rays, eels, sharks, and many different types of fish. You could snorkel through the reef and swim over everything. The tropical river runs through an aviary, you can also see otters and a specific breed of monkey, the marmosets. Everything was really nice and the food was pretty amazing for a park. I was blown away by both the breakfast and lunch. The workers were all nice and knowledgeable. The restrooms were really clean and they provided showers with soap and shampoo for when you were ready to head home. A couple of things, the dolphin encounter, the shark encounter and the alcohol were all extra on an already pretty expensive day. The photo packages start at $99 as well and are really expensive. You do get complimentary wine and beer but any mixed drinks, etc were extra. There were tons of snacks and fountain drinks throughout the resort. I personally think it was overpriced for what it was, but in no means will say it was not a pleasant experience. This can easily be a day event.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes all ages, even swim vests for babies!
I went in May it was about $200. With that included meals, unlimited drinks/alcohol. Unlimited snacks, wet suit, I hung out with the dolphins and i received free passes to sea world and the water park that were valid for 5 days. It was worth the money.
Any time is fine. They supply full wet suits. You can pick a vest or the full suit if it is chilly.
We did vest, it's pretty hot so the cool of the water was welcome, the suit stops the sun burn though, I'm still wearing a tan line vest a week later! 🤣
We do offer beach wheelchairs. They are designed to be pushed through the sand. See you soon!
Go ahead and bring them lots of kids do the dolphin ride just be aware that the water is a little chilly because they can't heat it because it's ocean water
If you have younger children the top package is worth it. My kids love the video and watch it quite a bit. it was quite pricey, but with your experiences documented it is well worth it. know that your group (whomever is with you and those who are added to your group are in your video also) you receive 8 pictures which are for the included photo album, a frame and blue ray or DVD. Plus all digital images.
i
No, it's a price to get in & then if you want dolphins, sharks, diving experiences you pay extra. The reef is amazing & for me better than swimming with the dolphins but kids want to swim with dolphins!
I believe it would be for one day
So long as you can show the dog is certified and has the proper service dog collar on it
As per your health... Because health first.
Yes, but it might not fit in the locker. All things that you do not carry with you must fit in a locker. As Jared said, drinks and snacks are part of the bundle you get. Personally, I have never seen anybody with a cooler.
Hi Fernando- If you have the Gold annual pass to one of our other Florida Parks you will receive a 30% discount on Discovery Cove admission. Thank you for being a pass member.
She has to be 6, but they will not check her ID.
I wouldn't know the answer to that. Call the customer service number and see what they say
No but they take there picture when you first go in, you all have your pic done and wear it around your neck.
It all depends on the day That you go
Discovery cove is near Acquatica and Sea World, pretty much on the same street. Bush Gardens is about and hour and a half away.
Hi Dalaxys, as it says on the Discovery Cove page, non-alcoholic food and drinks are included. It includes a visit to each park and they do not charge parking. I took that same package and the truth, although it is expensive. It is very worth it. Greetings and enjoy your trip.
I believe the packages come to the family account but if that family has different two different times for the dolphin swim it will group all your photos from both sessions. Hope that helps
Yes, it is. Arrive when the park opens and enjoy. This was an amazing adventure well worth the money. Breakfast, lunch, snack, and drinks ( kid and adult) are included. Max of 1500 people in the park per day.
I don't remember but I think they did
Our interaction with the dolphins is 30 minutes in the water.
Sunglasses, bathing suits, water shoes....everything else is provided
No. General admission dies not allow you to swim with the Dolphins. You need to add the Dolphin package or there is a swimming with the sharks or the spa experience. General admission gives you access to all the pools the lazy river the aviary and the otter viewing. One of the pools has live fish and manta rays to swim with and snorkel.
senior if there is a discount
Depends on what you want to do. For further information check the website
Reservations are required. Additional reservations required to swim with the dolphins. It is a great time for families, couples and it is truly all-inclusive.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- We do ask that all Guests provide their own bathing suit. We provide vests and wetsuits that are in addition. Hope to see you soon! Jeff
Not available
Yes towels and wetsuits are provided pretty much everything you need is included
Discovery cove is an all inclusive reservation based park. They do not have an annual pass for their location. They do have awesome FL resident rates. If you happen to have a pass for one of their sister parks (SeaWorld Orlando or Busch gardens Tampa) you get an even bigger discount when booking
You may being your own. They also provide complimentary beach strollers that lay flat. My twin toddlers each took a nap in their stroller.
The price varies depending on the date you choose, starts at 170$ and gets much higher than 200$ on high season. Kids of age 3 gets in free.
Get the Trainer for a Day package. Worth every penny and more. Extra dolphin swim time and more. Lots of surprises. Best day ever.
It varies from day to day but it's about $200 per person. In my opinion it was well worth it for my family. We upgraded and did the dolphin swim (not necessary, but we loved it.) Dont forget you get 2 week unlimitedly entry to two other Parks. If you already planned to visit the other 2 parks they're about $80 per person per park. Just a thought to help you! Also if doing many other "SeaWorld parks" looking into adding the free parking package because each park is $20 to park (general parking) per day
$ 200 per person but we have unlimited access to other Sea World parks!
Actually they do! They’re very similar to the wheelchairs, both have huge wheels that make it easy to push through the beach sand. We had a family right next to us that had one.
We loved our pictures. If you get the most popular package, you get digital
Depends on what area, but it's not that deep when you first walk in...as you go further some get deeper...but you will be fine with life vest.
You don't need to everything is free drinks water wine and beer. You can eat from the time you get there until 3:30. The drink kiosks are open until closing at 6:00 p.m. They even have slushies for free. Everything is super clean really loved this place and the employees were great they want you to have a good time.
I'm not sure about the discount either but the trainers did state someone did not need to know how to swim to do the Dolphin Swim activity. You are in a more shallow part of the water and it is actually more of a glide. You don't even need to kick your legs. They show you exactly how to hold on to the dolphin as he or she glides from one trainer to the other. The trainer also said life jackets were available however they do not recommend them for the dolphin swim since it actually will make the glide more difficult.
Yes, they have life jackets or you can just walk. Most areas are not deep.
It's totally worth it the first time I went there I spent like $500 per person. That included swimming with dolphins 🐬 Aquatica, Sea World and Bush Gardens totally worth the money
You always have the option to buy just the all inclusive day package or add the dolphin swim as an upgrade.
Swimming with the dolphins was amazing! I did look at the sharks but from a distance!
Yes, I believe a child must be at least 6 years of age to enter into the lagoon with an adult.
You'll need it, the water is preserved cold, to mimic the habitat of the marine life.
Yes, it is handicap friendly, they have wheelchairs that can ride on the sand and into the water.
It was the best time to go on an 83 degree day with sunshine. The park had less crowds, was more relaxing and more time at the excursions.
Not at all. I wore board shorts and a long sleeved swim shirt. AMD put on the Discovery Cove vest.
As stated above availability is very limited, but the dolphins are trained for disabled encounters, so shouldn't be an issue
Per person
No overnight stay. Don't know if they have senior discounts, they rarely have any discounts.
Yes you can take a camera, but they're not allowed in the Dolphin encounter. Lockers are provided for free.
You can choose a vest or wetsuit. I'd recommend wearing the wetsuit in the colder 75° water especially in the morning. You can turn in wetsuit after dolphin experience and get a vest for the rest of the day if you want. They have all sizes of both. The tropical river experience had much warmer water and a vest would have been better there. We actually wore the wetsuits all day even lunch because they were comfortable.
Base price for 4 adults, Florida resident discount is 716.80. That covers admission, Dolphin swim and food for the day.. Shark encounter, Seaventure, trainer for the day etc are all add on. Seaventure is awesome
No
My aunt had to 7se a wheelchair to get around and this was not an option in June of 2021.
The dolphin swim includes the all day pass.
I think platinum offers everything but im not sure. You should check out the website.
Yes. As other replies suggest, they should be supervised. There are shallower and deeper areas at the reef and the fish and stingrays swim all over!
They provide life Jackets and noodles for floating
Yes you have to remove all jewelry and they have lockers for all your belongings.
You have to punch him in today and check it out as to find out the price for that day. It's a little time-consuming. But there are some great deals in the middle of the month here and there.
They call it swim with dolphins but no one actually swims with dolphins. You get to watch them swim by you. Thats the " Swim" with dolphins you paid for.
Both water areas are at set temperatures. Lazy river is around 80°..the area with sting rays around 70°
Good Day Toby- Your admission to the other parks is good for 14 days of unlimited visits in any combination before and/or after your Discovery Cove reservation. When you booked your would have received an email which inlcluded Etickets which you will use for park admission prior to your Discovery Cove date. Admissions after you will use your park ID which will be issued at check in.
Yes its a good idea to bring to use in the lazy river and walking around the park.
We have sizes ranging from toddler -4 to adult 18 XL but nothing specifically designed for maternity.
Good Day Katie- We currently have no shuttle services due to covid restrictions. We open our doors at 6:45 for check in with breakfast beginning at 7:15. Our waterways open around 8:30-9:00 depending on the time of year and close at 5:00 pm. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks are included for all Guests and beer and wine for any Guest 21 and over.
Good Day Elisha- Outside of SeaVenture we have no restrictions on our activities regarding pregnancy. We encourage our Guests to consult with their physician prior to participating in our attractions and animal interactions. We hope to see you in the near future.
We are open for normal operation today till 5:00 pm
The more anticipation the better the price. But approx $ 160 but all inclusive I mean you eat, drink (alcohol, soft drinks, juices), snack all day. It is 👌 150% recommended.
$150 or so. If you choose to swim with dolphins it will be more. If you go in the prime season, it will cost the most.
Nothing was said about it. 8f it was available i would believe they would tell you at the end of the experience to boost sales
As long as you had then taken in the first place, yes. Not meaning that to be sarcastic. If you have the means to get the photographer, go for it.
Hi. We visited Discovery Cove 3 weeks ago and purchase the discounted tickets with the annual pass. The ladies at the counter did not check. All they asked us 4 was our names.
Good Day from Discovery Cove- SeaWorld and Discovery Cove will be open on December 28th. Aquatica will be open weather permitting. Reservations are not required for SeaWorld and Aquatica if you have a Discovery Cove reservation.
Good Day Susan- With the exception of the holidays we are closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We will resume our normal operation starting Spring Break 2021. Hope to see you in the near future.
We have 3 sloths who make random appearances throughout the park. We also have our Animal Trek program which is an upgraded experience. For more details visit our website and select "Upgrades" Hope to see you in the near future.
Yes. Plenty of free lounge chairs on any of the various beaches. Ask for cabana cancellations at check-in 😎👍
Go to https://discoverycove.com/orlando/pricing/florida-resident-rates/. Depending on which day you choose and reserve the price will be depending on that. Military has own cheaper rate as does FL resident. From the site:. ELIGIBLE AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ANIMAL EXPERIENCES All-Inclusive Dolphin Swim: Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by a paying adult who is also participating in the dolphin swim experience. SeaVenture and Shark Swim: Children ages 10-13 must be accompanied by a paying adult who is also participating in the experience. Ray Feeding: All participants must be at least 6 years old and comfortable in water.
They do offer a few gluten free options, but the selection isn't very large.
Call or email them
Try Peter's way...its closed along with the other parks in Orlando.
Here is the link to contact Discovery Cove directly to request a refund. If there's any other issue, feel free to ask any time. https://discoverycove.com/orlando/contact-us/
They have staff In water taking pics to buy photo pkgs if u want. Or take ur own pics from land or water
Best bet really is to contact them directly and ask them
You have to bring your own swimsuit, but they have wetsuits and wetsuit vests.
Price varies by date and is available on their website, I found a little bit better deal on Sam's club website
Greetings from Discovery Cove- We provide breakfast, lunch, unlimited snacks, drinks including beer and wine for all Guests. Hope to see you soon!
No. You'll need to pay to get in. Even then it's hard to see the people with the dolphins from where spectators may sit.
Regards!! In my case I bought a park package that included Sea world, Bush Garden, Aquatic and Discovery Cove for $ 270.92. (This price was during Thanksgiving week). The discovery schedule you book in advance and only enter once. The other 3 parks had 14 days to enter as many times as you wanted. In addition parking was already included. At Discovery Cove, it will open at 7am until 5pm. It includes everything: breakfast, lunch, snacks, wet suit, towels, lockers and snorkeling equipment. They only give you an hour to swim and have contact with the dolphins where they take beautiful photos. The photos you must buy. From the rest of the day you can swim with the team with the other fish on a simulator beach and see how they feed them, use the passive river, the aviary and other animals. It will be an unforgettable experience.
Maybe 20 minutes without traffic.
You can register at 7:15 AM
Yes what Christopher said. They do have to be 6 years old but if they "look" 6 and you feel comfortable with him in the water then I say go for it. They won't check for his identification
That depends, if you are going to swing with the dolphins they request to remove all the jewelry
It would be best to book as soon as possible because the summer is the most busy.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- During the cooler months Discovery Cove can still be an amazing experience. All our water ways are heated over the winter months. The freshwater areas are heated to 86-88 f. Saltwater areas are maintained throughout the year around 74-76 f. We also provide wet suits, heaters throughout the park and plenty of hot chocolate and coffee. Hope to see you soon!
Greetings from Discovery Cove- We are open 7 days per week in April. Only November-February do we have a limited operating schedule. Hope to see you in April.
No there are no kennels available.
The package deal is around $245 person and includes the all day experience of relaxation and comfort plus all you can eat breakfast and lunch and snacks and drinks as much as you want. Also includes a trip to the aviary and otter otter exhibit. The whole day is worth every penny. I go every year now that I have found it. Plus you can also get 14 passes to SeaWorld, Aquatica and Busch Gardens for free. You will love it.
They start serving breakfast as soon as gate opens and it stops around 10. Then they setup for the lunch.
I spent around seven hours, but it depends on how early you get there If you have any special events planned for your day, then you must arrive at the designated time which is usually 7:30 am
First available ticket sounds like a waiting list. We purchased our tickets online but they only allow a certain amount of people into the park each day. Also dolphin encounter times are assigned once you get there and they only allow a certain amount of them each day
English?
Yes. Costs extra, but it was awesome!!!! It was a bucket list item for me and something I will never forget
They destroy them. I spoke to one of the attendants about this very thing. He told me they delete the pics. I had purchased my pics already and asked if I would be able to repurchase them in the case that they were lost or destroyed. He advised that unfortunately there would be no way to replace the pics because they delete the files.
You go on line and you can buy them anytime. It is a blast get a cabana!
Checked on the website and Discovery Cove is unique to Orlando it appears
It's only a dorsal fin pull.
Sorry I can not read or write any other language other than English.
The prices goes up as availability becomes less, but a great day out!
Yes just show ID and also state it when you book it on line too!
They have vest and half body suits. Most everything you can do in a vest. The sea adventure walk you need the body suit.
That is correct they only allow a certain amount of people. High demand!
Ok. I appreciate your answer. Actually I want to fix it online not call. Anyone knows online way?
As the other people telling: as more old the kids - as more they can do.... and understand. But beside dolfin also the riff is like sand beach and even in not deep water you can see fish enough. Take some "water glass" so that kids can also look inside the water!
Price only ... I found it very expensive !!!!!
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Due to our limited capacity discounts are rare. Currenty we offer discounts for Florida residents, Annual Passholders and US Military. We hope to see you soon! Jeff
You can pay at the entrance but you will save money if you buy in advance
The name is teta. The name origins from Africa, it means prisoner.
Sorry not sure but probably with lightning yes they will.
I don't recall which is the celebration package. I did the Swimming with Dolphins package and it was wonderful.
Discovery cove is only one day and the rest of the parks are multiple times a day for the entire time you are on your vacation. We went to SeaWorld twice and Aquatica twice in a 5 day stay.
Yes
In the following days you will receive an email if you already have the tickets and you only add the activity with the dolphins
It depends on the day. Go on their website and pick out the date you wish to go, and the price will be listed. Also make sure if you are a Florida resident that you get the discount for it.
You get your choice of several. Get there early to eat breakfast (included) and grab your seats. If you can, splurge on the private seating areas, it gets hot.
They also have water, tea, sodas, slushies. There are adult beverages as well but either have to do a separate package or pay as you go on those.
Call in and tell them to see you if they can change it but you must provide your valid military ID
Yes, in all sizes from tiny tot to adult. They also have noodle type floats as an extra or alternative
Check with guest services desk or call them.
Buy the tickets online. If you are trying to get the dolphin package I would recommend buying the package and getting there early. I bought it and showed up at 10. My dolphin experience wasn't until 230-3
We do have birthday packages but discounts are limited to US Military, Florida Resident and Annual Pass holders. Hope to see you soon! Jeff
Very worth the money free food and drink all day , dolphin swim is very good experiance as is thr snorkelling.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Each interaction is 30 minutes and will have group sizes of 8-9 Guests per interaction.
There isn't a discount.
Yes but they stop some atractions until the weather gets better
Being a FL resident Can we buy tickets for our grandkids who r visiting
It was raining the day we went. Dolphins did not care, nor did the fish! Had a great day and it was WAY less crowded! If there was lightning they would alert us to get out of water, but rain was fine!
30 day cancelation policy, you can read more here https://discoverycove.com/orlando/help/inclement-weather-policy/
You can sit right beside the beach and the dolphins are only a few feet away, but you cannot go into the dolphin pools with cameras, phones or video equipment. You have to wear a wetsuit that they provide to prevent injuries to the dolphins. They might think your equipment is a toy... Hope this helps.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- We do have photographers in the water taking still shots. We have packages ranging from $99.00-$229.00 plus tax. The photos are taken for all groups but there is no obligation to purchase. If you have anyone in your group not participating in the dolphin interaction they are more than welcome to stand on the water edge and take photos as well. Hope to see you soon! Jeff
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Parking is about a 3-4 minute walk to the main Reception area where you check in. From here it is another 3-4 minute walk into the park.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Coming in July it is almost a guarantee that it will rain and storm. Storms typically do not appear till later in the afternoon and are short lived (less than 2 hours). We do open early so you can make the most of your day. We start our check in process at 6:45 with breakfast beginning at 7:00. Dolphin interactions begin at 8:00 am so I recommend an early arrival to make the most of your day. In the event of a more significant weather event we do offer a complimentary date change based on availability. See you in July! Jeff
Greetings from Discovery Cove- You are more than welcome to bring in your own camera equipment. It is allowed in all areas and interactions with the exception of the dolphin lagoons and the Shark Swim for Guest and animal safety! Hope to see you soon! Jeff
We got a package deal and it was cheaper. We also paid on line before we went. I would gove them a call. Dont know if my answer helps any at all, if you could like it i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, hope you have a awsome time. We cant wait to go back. Look at cyprus point for lodgeing its close and really great place to stay.
Doubt it. DC is a unique experience. Although it does offer free days at Busch.
We went last Monday I think we paid 110 each with no pass for SeaWorld and then I paid 100 ea more onsite to add the dolphin swim to 2 passes
I sit right beside there photographer and video the whole dolphin swimming experience with my wife son and daughter and took pictures why the video camera was recording. There photographer seen me behind him and was really nice not to block my view. Use the camera on your phone. You are really close up. I seen everybody recording with there phones and they are allowed throughout discovery cove. If there has been a change in policy Jeff and you are not allowing people to video and take pictures from there phones anywhere in the park, besides in the water we know that would be dangerous. (No phones in the water that is not allowed) PLEASE let me know. I will advice everyone on all my websites and posts. I loved your park and there is no other place like it. I will visit again. If this was helpful, could you PLEASE like? Thank you.
I took my pics from the side. Lot cheaper and just as good. I was right behind there photograher on a hugh rock. I took lots of pics and videos. My family are very happy. If this was helpful, could you PLEASE like? Thank you.
If you pay to swim with dolphins (ticket) that ticket covers seaworld and aquatica for 14 days after you enter any 1 park
Our daughter has paraplegia and uses a manual wheelchair. Swimming with dolphins at Discovery Cove was her wish trip activity. The entire park was very accessible. Since most of our activities were performed in the water, she experienced a great deal of freedom all day. A special shout out to the excellent staff who assisted her in many activities -- especially the trainers who made her dolphin swim so enjoyable.
I surprised to read that parking is free. It used to be free but the tickets I have seen are ultimate which included parking or the basic which doesn’t included parking. I heard it was approximately $25
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Both months are almost identical from a weather stand point. Highs will be in the low 90's with or daily chance of afternoon storms. While our attendance is capped around 1300 it is peak season so the other parks will all be very busy. When visiting during the summer months get your days started early to enjoy the most before afternoon storms. See you in a few months. Jeff
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Our snorkel tubes are one time use and you are allowed to take them with you as a souvenir. The masks are sanitized daily after each use. Hope to see you soon! Jeff
Greetings from Discovery Cove- For proof of residency we will accept Florida DL, state issued ID or utility bills with Florida address with a name for each person over the age of 18. See you soon! Jeff
Hi Unfortunately they don't. There are only 2 price structures. One price for thise who swim with dolphins and another forbthise who don't. Which are classed as spectators. Must add. Fab place to visit. Food and drink included through out your stay with in the price. You won't go hungry. Swimming with dolphins was fab . Snorkelling in the man made reef with rays and tropical fish also a must. Heart place. Been there twice now
We went in January it was 84 degrees outside. The water temp was a bit chilly tjo
There is only 1,300 capacity so if you want to be sure to get in on the day you want it's safer to book ahead of time. You could check on the day you're around and check availability for that day. You are able to walk in and talk to staff in the entry building. Parking is free also.
If it is a child you will need someone to watch the child from outside of the dolphin experience. If it is an adult they will be required to not be in the interaction area. For ticket purchase I am not for certain but I think you can distinguish that during the ticket process.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- In April we open our doors at 6:45 for check in. Breakfast begins at 7:15. Waterways begin opening at 8:30 and close between 5:00-5:30 depending on the location. Hope to see you in the Spring. Jeff
It depends on the season and if u are doing a dolphins swim or not($185-245 ) .I would recommend buying it from the actual site and buying it during the black Friday sale. Also in terms of value the day resort and dolphin swim unlimited is one of the best, you get unlimited access to Busch gardens, aquatica and SeaWorld as well as FREE PARKING for 14 days.
As a Lifeguard at Discovery Cove, I can say it is always best to know how to swim, but it is not a requirement. We provide green noodles and life jackets for the convenience of weak or non swimmers. Depths change throughout the park. In the river, it drops down to 8 ft (2.43m) several times throughout, and rises back to around 3 ft, where as the dolphin pool goes to about 18 feet deep. The Dolphin Swim however offers shallow water rides during the interaction, which keep you in shallow water during the ride.
The water was chilly for us (was thankful they had the longest wet suits) in June when we went for the safely and comfort of the animals. I am assuming the water is regulated to be a certain temperature to mimic ocean temperatures
Depends on which hotel your staying at. Uber and Lyft can pick up/ drop off as well.
I don't really know what the weather will be like in Orlando for that date, but that's tropical in that area.
Calling them now would be the best option, they are very open to the customers needs. Request date changes and explain why.
Please put the question in English
Greetings from Discovery Cove- We currently do not offer any corporate discounts. We offer discounts for US military, Florida Residents, SeaWorld/ Busch Gardens annual pass members. We are currently running a Book Early and Save promotion available until 12/31/2018. Hope to see you in the near future!
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Our photo packages range from $99.00 to $229.00 plus tax. We also have items available for individual sale and prices vary. Hope to see you soon! Jeff
No you'd need to book Discovery Cove separately as it's vis versa in that when you book discovery cove, you get 14 days access to Seaworld and Aquatica.
All inclusive food and drinks
Yes
In oct i paid $172. Per person and the dolphin swim was included
You never really know with the weather it could be hot or cold but there are wet suits which you need for the dolphin swim and swimming in the pool with the fish. Lightning would be the only thing that would close the pools.
Discovery Cove will be closed November 13, 14 and 15. We are closed most Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday throughout the winter.
Nothing that was advertised. They're open every day for business as usual.
Greetings from Discovery Cove- Admission varies based on time of year, how far in advance you book and which upgrades you select. For full pricing details please visit our website at DiscoveryCove.com. Hope to see you in the near future. Jeff
We offer full shower facilities including towels, shampoo and conditioner.
No ... They are for the day you scored
Discounts for Discovery Cove are not very prevalent. UnderCoverTourists.com can have tickets at a slightly lower rate than directly from Discovery Cove. https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/seaworld-orlando-resort/?pid=G0ODPLACE You should check mousesavers.com to find any active promotions. https://www.mousesavers.com/florida-discounts-deals/discovery-cove-discounts-and-deals/ At this time, the only general discounts can be for Florida residents, Seaworld Orlando Annual Passholders, Auto Club South.
No unfortunately all these parks sell the products!
It probably wouldn't be worth visiting unless you added some packages such as Sea Venture, Dolphin Swim.... It's worth the money and as you get access to Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica and we also had free parking for 2 weeks... Overall I think it's all great value....
For 7 of us, with swimming with dolphins, it was a little over $3000.00. It does include breakfast, lunch, and snacks and beverages all day. Very nice place. Expensive, but very nice.
I will go with Ben on that answer because military was mentioned not law enforcement.
Discounts are not too common with Discovery Cove. Places to check are. Undercover Tourist AAA Club South Florida residents can check the Discovery Cove website
This is not their official Q&A page, they don't monitor this. Go on their website or call them.
Prices range from $200 per adult and up and depends if you want to add swimming with the dolphin and if you want to go to any other of there parks Aquatica, Bush Gardens, ect. Best to go on there website for the most accurate price.
This is not a water park, this is a resort like your own oasis amazing place worth the price, snorkeling in a reef with tropical fish, feeding exotic birds in the beautiful aviary, relaxing in a babbling winding river. Grear breakfast and lunch served included in ticket prices plus all you can eat snacks and drinks all day.. worth every penny
We paid 180 each and it included all food and most drinks. But not dolphin swim.
It varies from day to day, check the website for the dates you're interested in
You will swim with the dolphins if you signed up for one. The park only allows a certain number of people per day. It won't be super crowded. I just came back from there. I spent 3 days & it was the BEST 3 days ever!
Look at the website for the data, I am from Argentina and I was able to do it through a student in installments. It's expensive but it's worth it, plus they give you 14 days free to enter seaworld and aquaria.
It's one visit to Discovery Cove and then you go to Sea World or Aquatica multiple times within the 14 day timeframe.
Basic tickets to discovery cove get you tickets to seasworld and aquatica. So there will be an overlap nonmatter what. Maybe try contact discovery cove and see if they can do anything special since its for a make a wish try. No harm in asking.
I suggest emailing them.
SeaAdventure, Dolphin Encounter and Shark Encounter are all additional bookings. The dolphin encounter is very popular, as it doesn't really have many restrictions on who can participate. With the SeaAdventure, participants must be at least 10 years of age and of a certain height. Although a bit more money, the memory of the day was forever. We only did the dolphin encounter as an extra as we had a 9 year old in our group, but would have also done the shark's too if possible.
Around $200.00 per person depends the season, it's a wonderful experience swim with dolphins, lazy river, and many others. Includes all you can eat and drink all day, they have variety of offers and prices varys including Aquatica, Sea World or Bush Gardens entrances in Tampa. There are many packages and prices
Yes, I think so, but it depends of the "weather" if it is too cold maybe not
We are open rain or shine. The only time we close everything down is if thunder an lighting in area. But yes, call us and well help with anything you need.
Must wear swim vest or wet suit whenever your in the water.
We have everything you need for showers. All you really need is bathing suit, ID and some family an great friends!!
Not regular swimming pools. There is the grand reef where you swim with fish and rays and there is windaway river BUT not any typical swimming pool.
I thought it was comfortable but i had the full body wet suit . I'm pretty sure they said the water temp was low 70s.
Depends on date basically. Think it starts at 170$. Take into consideration that it includes many things, food, drinks all day long, wet suits, towels etc. It also includes free entrance to Seaworld and Aquatika water park which we enjoyed as well very much.
The dolphin swim is $99pp, a one off payment for a one-time swim. These are allocated groups with instructors who oversee the event. I think its a 45min thing with a few others. You can purchase all pictures taken for $149 and even a video and CD for $229 (I think??), anyhow, it's a once in a lifetime thing for sure. But you can't go just to hang out with dophins, I'm sure you'll find yourself occupied with the lazy river, sunbathing, glorifying yourself with as many slushes and all-inclusive food as you can get, even just swimming to be honest. ☺️
Water in lazy river and main pool are heated but the animal pools including the dolphin swim aren't so yes they will be chilly bit that is normal no matter the time of year tbh. Wetsuits help alot.
Well worth getting there early. Loads to do, day goes waaaaay to quickly as it is, make the most of it, and get there as early as you can. Such a great place!
You have to wear either the vest or wet suit in most water areas (including the dolphins)
Am not to sure on this if you ring discovery cove am sure a member of staff can give advice there very helpful
When swimming with dolphins which is an amazing experience, you cannot take camera into the water. Someone can take your photo from the shore. But a professional photographers shoot from inside the pool (also video). Just pay attention it's pricy. (170$ for 6 photos and the video)
I just had the body top on. Fantastic place. Go early so you can enjoy sea world too. Food fantasic. Free drinks wine beer and snacks. We got to see the 6pm show of Shamu at seaworld. Enjoy I can't wait to go back. Was just there couple of weeks ago.
Prices vary based on demand and the time of year.
Yes I just booked for the 140 rate you have to log into your SeaWorld account and scroll to pass holder benefits and I'll give you a option to click Discovery Cove you have to go through there and what you choose your package the rate will show up. We books April 8th I believe it's thru may.
It's not really the kind of place with an "entrance fee", you pay for the experience of your choice. Check out the website.
When we were with the dolphins it was not mentioned but absolutely no jewelry
Yes, reservations are required
$169 for the digital copy and 6 pictures. Worth every penny!
You buy your dolphin swim pictures, but if u are with other people with good cell phone cameras, they let you get on the side of the cove to take your own
Do it before check in they were gone when I got there at 730, I didn't think I needed it though I just found a chair and it was all good. There is towels in the bathrooms and drinks all over the place
Shouldn't be. Happened to me, as a drink upgrade was added on that I did not want. I called and they removed it. So, I would give them a call... easy fix.
Everything is on the discovery2cobe page
It can be anywhere between 220-300$
I think it's valid for 2 weeks after your visit to Discovery Cove
Contact customer service. They most likely would prefer to give a form of credit but I do know that if you push you will get a refund. I went 4 months ago and our group was less 2 and they received a refund in the same call. They weren't transferred or had to call back.
I have gone in September and November both times it was very low crowds. However even when sold out they keep the tickets limited so that you do not feel like you are crowded. I think regardless of crowds you will have a wonderful time.
Yes shouldn't be a problem. We changed our reservation last minute. Gd luck it was the best park of our trip. My kids loved it
I went recently with my almost 3 year old who is very comfortable in the water. He loves sand so he made sand castles all day long, loved feeding birds, and hanging out in the lazy river, with a life jacket on, watching marmossets and otters. My partner and I did child-swap during the dolphin experience and they did a photo shoot with our entire family at the end where he got to touch and feed the dolphins. He was very excited. Finally, he loved touching the Sting rays while they circled around him. Having said that, my toddler is very independent and well-behaved so when he was making sand castles, we went snorkelling. Although we never went too far, we didn't feel restricted to do things because we knew he would stay put. It was also fun to see 2 other kids older than him join him in making sand castles so he made new friends. This was the best experience for our family.
Yes, unless it becomes dangerous like some lightning.
I bought this pachege in july 2017.... Including the sea word parks i'm not sure if the validity is 14 days....
You can but they supply new ones that can br taken home at the end of your visit
The water in the lazy river is heated. The Reef is a bit cooler. Only issue would be air temp when you get out of the water. That can really affect your comfort when out of the water.
If you can, check out the website. This will give you the most up to date pricing
I think my family of four paid 180 per person but did not buy any extra activities, with that we recieved free admission to sea world
You get for 14 days total before and after you have been to Discovery Cove
Call them directly for that information
The water is all heated. Coolest water is where you swim with fish 76 degrees. Recreational area is 85 or better
Yes, they are provided along with food, drink and animal safe sunscreen
No need for your head to be under the water
We go every February and the water is fine. The lazy river is warm all year round and the reef can fell a bit cold at first until your body adjusts.
The masks are adjustable and pretty water tight.
It includes park admission and is all inclusive for the day
The tropical river water should be warm.. but the pool with corals and sea water fishes will be cold..
I think its because of the hurricane IRMA.. please check thire website for more information..
Exactly, speak with them directly, they may jus switch them out for another day...
Individual photos are $35, but there are packages that make them cheaper (4 for $99, 6 for $169). $150 for the DVD or BluRay if you purchase it alone, $60 as an add-on to a photo package. Other packages too..
$ 299 swim with the dolphins
Locals said to us to going December as that is when you get the least rain and still good sunshine.
I went 1 1/2 weeks ago and prices are down now..i found it for $219 online and it included Sea World and Aquatica unlimited until 1/31/18. There is another deal but it Sea World and Aquatica for 2 weeks
