I've been coming here since I was a kid. I love the updates and the drive thru is an amazing addition. The only reason for 4 stars is the milkshakes aren't the same, no matter how I order it, it's always spoon thick and before you could order it that way or more milky. No matter how many times I ask for it to be thin enough to drink through the straw it's always super thick. It won't stop me from coming back as everything is still delicious!

A favorite of my wife and I. It's like the 50's with Elvis standing by watching us enjoy music from the 50s 60s and other oldies. There are some very unique flavors, as well as tons of treats from sundaes to Chicago style hot dogs. I love a scoop of purple haze on top of a different scoop every visit and I get one of those giant waffle cones dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. My wife gets her faithful standby of mint chocolate chip, with hot fudge, whip cream, sprinkles and a cherry on top. We both really dig the atmosphere, the customer service is outstanding, the employees are incredibly polite, very courteous and always smiling. They've recently acquired the building next door in an expansion because the place is always busy but it's never top long of a wait for A special treat! WE LOVE DAIRY JOY! And we hope to continue visiting for years to come! Thanks for all the fantastic times and fantastic-er treats!

There is so many ice cream places around here but we decided to come to Dairy Joy because they have the dipped ice cream. We had banana split, dipped ice cream, vanilla shake and regular ice cream in a waffle cone and we all loved it. The size are not bad for the price. My only complaint is they don't offer Military discount. The place is not doing bad Financially because there was 2 lines even after 30 min so they were busy. It won't hurt to offer some discount to those who serves or served our country, in my opinion. Love that they had 2 cars for pictures and the 2 corn holes to play.

Customers are required to wear a mask and to use social distancing by remaining 6ft apart while waiting in line. I believe the employees are required to wear a mask also, they are also protected by working inside the establishment behind the glass only having two small windows where customers place their orders.
best place for ice cream in south tampa. i was so happy and excited when the new owners embraced and improved it instead of tearimg it down
If you are in the area definitely stop but don't make a special trip. You need cash if you go.
