The two curtains we received were very poor quality. They were not square on the bottom corners and do not look nice when they are rolled down. One side of the curtains were longer and the other side was bunched up from the sewing machine. We asked for them to be fixed and they said they would send us a shipping label so we could send them back. They then came back and said their shipping printer was broken and could offer us a discount instead. I feel like they just wanted us to go away. Overall a very bad experience and on top of all this frustration they don't do anything to stop any noise. We now use them to darken the room instead, a very expensive lesson.

Spent a lot of money on a curtain and it doesn’t block noise. Waste of money, unfortunately. The company contacted me about my review and thanked me for helping them make a better product. So, if you want your money to pay for their R&D as they figure out how make a product that works then you should buy. Worst customer service on the planet.

Residential Acoustics is simply a first class company that makes a quality product. I needed a solution for the entry to a theater room. The people at RA gladly exchanged numerous emails and phone calls with me to help me choose the right product (which turned out to be the AcoustiTrac), and explain to me the various custom options that were available to make the product perfect for my needs (including a different color on each side). Then, the product was delayed, but the delay was well-intended because someone at RA had noticed a potential glitch in my design and dimensions that would result in substantially less sound being blocked. After talking me through it, I actually received a refund because the dimensions were reduced. The product that arrived was very well made, and certainly needed two people to install because the curtain is so substantial. Installation, however, was not difficult, and the curtain looks beautiful and does an excellent job blocking sound and light. Finally, when I discovered that the entry way required an extra piece of material for aesthetic purposes, RA manufactured it, and then didn’t charge me for it because they felt that it had taken too long to complete the initial order. In sum, great people, great product – you can’t go wrong with Residential Acoustics.

Absolutely love our curtain. Helps keep my small apartment cool and reduces all outside noises drastically! I sleep better too with my curtain; which means the world to me. Their customer service over the phone prior to placing my order online was very helpful and I received the curtain quicker than I expected! Great purchase.

Thanks for your question. The curtains block approximately 60-90% of the sound over a window or door opening. They are tested at a 3rd party lab named Riverbank Acoustic Labs in Chicago, and received an STC of rating of 25. To our knowledge, they are the only soundproof curtains in the US that are designed for an STC rating to block sound. They are most effective over single-pane windows, hollow-core doors, or doors/windows that are drafty and allow sound to flank under the threshold or around the frames.
Hi Jordan. Our curtains are around $150-$350, depending on the size you need. We ship all over the world. Currently we have shipped to over 50 countries worldwide.
