Nice spot for a hot summer day. Pleasant little man-made lake. Beach isn't huge, but big enough.

Great family day. Four hours in nature under the trees on a blanket, watching the little ones fish.....beautiful day and scenery.

We went here for a quick de-tour to eat our lunch on our way back from Shenandoah. Oh boy, what a pleasant surprise. This place has a loop around the dam, that takes not more than 20-30mins. There are also other trails, walk straight left from the scout camp sign, this will lead you to nature trails sign, follow it into the forest. You are able to see the prominent peak of Shenandoah mountains from here and if you stick enough for night fall, you may be able to see the night sky and Milky Way galaxy from here which we couldn’t this time as it was cloudy.

Yes, we went this past Sunday. There's no lifeguards though so it's enter at your own risk. Water was perfect though!
No this little park is only open sun up to sun down. It offers picnic areas swimming fishing paddle boats and a few short trails. The view is lovely
Yes
It does not get overly packed . Still plenty of room to move and enjoy the day
As of now no.byt only because there isn't a lifeguard on duty or anyone watching over the swimming area for that matter
Grills by pavilion, non alcoholic
I don't believe so unless you're camping
You need a permit to fish Lake Arrowhead which you can buy at Wal-Mart in Luray or at the town office.
Bass catfish pike and several others
Once you turn into the park, you can't miss it. It is clearly labeled.
Yes
I would call the city
Honestly I don't know the rental price. However to swim it's $3 for adults and $2 for children. Fairly cheap. I have only seen kayaks and canoes for rental. And I do not remember the price but it was pretty cheap in my opinion.
Yes, take jims advice & call for current prices & conditions. Usually more secluded early AM. And if you have access to an flat bottom, then youll be able to take advantage of the money spent for another license. Enjoy fishing and the view.
