The regular front desk guy was unfriendly, and unhelpful, hostile even. This was my local library but I never went there if I could help it.

Beautiful building and probably has a great selection but today is the third time I've tried to stop by and their hours weren't the same as on Google. Need to pick up museum passes for tomorrow and now I have to change my whole schedule and can't get other chores done because their hours are different on the first Thursday of every month, which feels very trivial. Annoying.

They probably do (they have a great local history section). But you'd have to drop by or call for specifics, not sure they check this page much. Another good place in town to check is the Mogan Cultural Center next to Boarding House Park, run by UML.
No
Yes they do
Absolutely. There's an accessible entrance with a ramp on the Coburn Street side of the building (same side as the library parking lot). This entrance will bring you in on the ground floor where the children's section is. From there you can take the elevator to access any floor.
You can call to ask, where you will get a new or you can go there, they will make it a new one for you simple
Its is not open to go inside but you can go online and check out books. they offer contact free pick up at their side entrance.
Unfortunately not but other libraries in mass are open at least for curb side pick up
