I have never wrote a train before it was an exciting experience for me the staff was a professional the trip was beautiful and the timing was really expedient. I got stuck in St Albans Vermont and did not want to wait for a bus, and like an angel I saw Amtrak and I paid $12. The conductor helped me reach the office and I arranged to pay for the train ride. In 30 minutes I was home back in my beloved Burlington. now when I do travel the other parts of Vermont I will be taking Amtrak thank you for being my guardian angel. While the 'covered waiting area' might be sufficient for Miami in March, this train station finds itself not in Florida, but rather in the brazenly less tropical climate such as might be found in Maine or Vermont, which is not surprising since this station is in fact located in Vermont, a fact which must surely not have been lost on the funders, developers and builders who decided to fund, develop and build it in such an inappropriate latitude. Being that I am currently awaiting the train and have been since at least whatever time it was that my watch froze, I can probably surmise that few to no actual Amtrak users were involved in any aspect of the creation of this station, as they would have at least insisted on the installation of an actual door to this waiting area and may have even fought for the inclusion of some sort of coffee-delivery system which I know for a fact does exist as I have personally witnessed such advanced technology in the remains of the Soviet Union, a trip which I am at present recalling fondly in the hopes that the balmy zero-degree weather I experienced at that time might warm me up in these last minutes either of my life or my wait, whichever I experience first.

This is a review for the train/bus station itself, not for Amtrak or CCTA. The station in is current state needs some fixing. When it rains, the "covered" seating gets wet and for the amount of space, many more benched could be placed. There isn't a good water drainage system for the area where the buses arrive. Part of the train station itself seems abandoned. Other than that, I enjoy having a small bus centre here and I know the town of Essex is working on expanding it.

Yes there are
Yes but only if you are taking the train,
I'm not sure of all of the stops but I do know that you can ride the train from Essex jct. Vt all the way to NYC grand central station it takes about 9 hours
Looks like it depends on what kinda seat you are looking for. It ranges from $74 to $154. If you go to Amtrak's website you should be able to find what seats are available for the day you are planning to travel
Yes on the side
I don't think it goes to the water front. You will probably have to get an Uber or Taxi
