I purchased seven vinyl windows with low e glass. Four of the windows were awning windows and two of the four ended up needing replacement hardware because the crank system on them broke. This was a simple fix that I was able to do myself after having them send me the correct parts. Additional to the broken hardware, three of the windows had defective thermal pains (none of the windows are older then 2.5 years old). As soon as the weather got cold, the windows started to fog between the pains. I brought the issue up to the retailer and Kasson & Keller quickly scheduled a time to replace the glass in the windows, which was great. They sent a tech out to disassemble and replace the glass. While the tech was here, he showed me where the pains were leaking and told me it was a defect in the manufacturing process of the glass. The next day Kasson & Keller called me for credit card information stating that the tech “told me about the $175 charge for the service”, which he didn’t. No one told me when the service was scheduled either. I asked why it wasn’t covered under warranty and they said only the glass was. Had Kasson & Keller sealed the glass properly in the first place, I wouldn’t have had this issue. The fact that I spent over $1500 on windows and then was charged for the cost of the service when the problem was to no fault of my own is bs. I have four more windows to replace in my house and I refuse to ever buy a Kasson and Keller product again, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

If you're looking for employment, look elsewhere. When it comes to production you will be told to send out a good quality window when, in reality, they are more worried about getting 400 windows produced and out the door each day. Liquid vinyl is and will be used to cover up mistakes made in production. Some windows are sealed without even putting argon in them to achieve their daily production goals. The quality of the windows is sub-par at best. There is a handful of tenured employees that take brown-nosing to a level I have never witnessed in my life! Always in the managers ear whining about something. The manager will watch you on camera almost every second of the day as if you're an inmate in a prison. If you happen to talk to someone outside of your department you will be paged and told "I'm sure you have other things to do instead of talking". The unrealistic expectations start on day 1 of employment. When I was interviewed I was told the goal of 400 windows a day is expected. Was also told that "he" didn't need me to know anything about manufacturing windows but needed me to just supervise the people in the department. On the beginning of my 3rd week (11th day of employment) I was sat down and shown a piece of paper that reiterated how I needed to produce 400 windows a day. I was told to sign it and it would be put in my HR file. It was at that moment I realized there was something not right with this company. The machinery being used is always malfunctioning causing down time. Still, that is not a good enough reason to not hit the 400 window goal. Although my salary of $55K/year was decent, it was not worth the harrassment I would endure from upper management along with the tenured employees who feel they do nothing wrong and try to "knock you down" if you are starting to prove yourself as a new employee. I have never had any issues as a supervisor with my previous employers until working here and I have supervised for about 20 years. I was brought into the HR office 1 day prior to my 90th day of employment (probationary period) just before I would be getting health insurance for me and my family, and told I was being let go. I did not argue as it was a relief I would no longer be subjected to how this establishment is being ran. Only regret I have is leaving my previous employer to work here. I feel that if you're not a brown-noser with upper management you most likely will not be employed there long. Heed my warnings as I'm sure I'm not the only person that has had these experiences with this company!

Twice now I have had to have my windows replaced and both times I have dealt directly with K&K as my installer is out of business. One time was for the insulation leaked causing a fogging situation and once for a self induced stress crack. In both incidents I communicated with Angela (super friendly) at K&K and in both cases I had replacement panes sent to my house (they were covered under K&K warranty program). No issues, no problems. A local window company easily replaced the panes within the sash for a nominal fee. Although I wish I did not have any issues, in 10+ years their Kas-Kel windows are still performing as designed. No drafts, no leaks and still easy to operate. I think it was a good investment as I replaced 23 older window units.
