Best library I have ever used. When I tell my daughter in orange county the personal service they provide she can't believe it. They find books for me from other locations and order them for me. I suppose it's due to the frequency I come to the library but they now greet me by name when I come in. There also recommend authors based on my interests. The entire staff and facility are outstanding, any time I discuss reading or specific books with others I always recommend this library. Tom reeves

I am a nurse. On 10/19/20 I was very disheartened at the way fruitland park was handling covid. No signs to place on keyboard saying, " person is done with key board please clean." I was asked to sign a paper. She handed me " pencil" She then collected it and attached it to the clip board. I asked to sanitize my hands before she gave me a temporary card. I went to my computer, hands clean now. I asked for help to print out a form. She used my mouse with her bare hands. Covid lady. Please I care for the sick others that come here are the sick. Protect the public as well as yourself.

Yes, you can get a Lake County library card while living in Sumter County. All you need is a ID.
It varies considerably. How long will the child be at the library? Do they have something to do at the library? Children's maurity level is affected by more than just their age. Librarians are not babysitters.
