Really enjoyed The Security "D" class. Derek Jones is professional, knowledgeable and appears to really loves what he does. He teaches in a way that's easy to understand while also making sure to address questions someone may have. He seems to really care about the success of his students . I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for training or refreshing their skills. I was in Law enforcement in the past and hope you would consider Derek Jones Academy.

Not really happy with this company. I called last week and was told someone would be reaching out to me about the security guard class for Monday the 27th. But I never received a call. So I missed out on that. Then I or someone else got confused on the pricing. I was told it was going to be $195 for the full class d and g. But I guess not. It doesn’t make sense for it to be $400 something dollars. I’m from dc area and nobody charged that much. VA MD or DC and they all pay over $30 an hour. Here in florida you get a lousy $11-15 for armed. So the price is super expensive for nothing. Now I’ll have to wait till January something to even start the class which I’m probably not going to now. Anyways I hope this helps someone that got stuck in the same situation as me. First off, this was by far one of the best classes I've taken! I took both the Class D & G courses. Derek is an awesome instructor! He has a way with people and can acclimate to everyone around him, and yet put it right across the plate. Eric (the other instructor) was great as well. He's super helpful and both him and Derek will make sure that you know your stuff upon the completion of the class. Also, the front office staff members (Debra & Vivian) were very welcoming and accommodating/hospitable! I can't stress this enough, you'll absolutely love this experience and can also leave with a few life lessons as well.
