I have nothing but good things to say about FCS, Dr Lobo, Julie and the entire nursing staff. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer 10/10/2021. Dr Lobo is very patient with me explaining every step of the chemo process. Even with the “chemo fog” he would make sure I had a grasp on all the procedures and medications. He even has his nurse practitioner Julie come to check up on me when I was in the treatment room getting my infusion. I feel like these 2- Dr Lobo and Julie are top notch. And k would recommend them to anyone. It does get a little hectic in the lobby but that is to be expected at a doctors office.

After reading the negative reviews I knew I had to post one of my own. I've been a patient of Dr. Percent since the summer of 2016 and I have never experienced one single issue mentioned in the negative reviews. As far as a diet for a patient goes, there's a dietitian on staff. Why not ask your doctor to help you access the service? The overbooking issue might be due to a large number of seasonal folks being referred to Florida Cancer by their home state providers. It also could be that patients bring up new real concerns during their appointments and those need to be addressed. Personally, I'm pleased that patients aren't rushed in and out of the door. I like the idea that I'll be given a few extra minutes if needed. There are people on staff who deal with health insurance and are knowledgeable about the many various companies and the fine print. My own insurance initially denied me Neulasta shots, but Florida Cancer contacted the company and pointed out the clause that showed I was qualified for it to be fully covered. I can't say enough good things about Florida Cancer Specialists.

The center in port Charlotte consistently over books. They have little to no regard for patients time. We are cattle and cash cows. They have been consistent in this practice for years and no matter if you complain nothing is ever done and no one responds.

This place is truly amazing… Bonus, the commute to this local center is 8 min for me. Better than a 2 hour Moffitt drive. Dr Percent is great. He’s patient, to the point, and persistent.. He genuinely cares for his patients.. I felt very comfortable with all of his recommendations.. He introduced me to his nurses and they were friendly and kind as well. Helen even popped by during my first chemo treatment to check in and explain how how to reach her if I had any issues.. (I may be incorrect on the names here because both nurses actually popped by to give words of encouragement during that first treatment) From the check in gals to the financial office, authorization department, nurses, medical assistants, to check out. Everyone is truly great.. I’ve had issues getting blood taken or veins accessed for contrast and port placement at other facilities during this process and it made me super nervous about getting blood drawn or my infusion today. I was on verge of a mini panic attack and Kelly totally soothed me! These girls know what they’re doing and Kelly always manages it the first time and I barely ever notice! She’s such an asset! If you’ve unexpectedly joined the dreaded cancer club, you would be in very good hands here..
