Attended church service 4/7/2019. Pastor Tim Suddreth's teaching concerned 'spring cleaning'. My two stars are not because of the content of the message, but because Pastor Tim referred many times to "the Bible says" and told us what the Bible said, but never read it from the Bible or gave the Scripture reference in the Bible. The reason this concerns me is that the epidemic of Bible illiteracy is the number one cause for defeated Christians. Almost 1 in 5 churchgoers say they never read the Bible. I believe most Christians desire to become more mature followers of Jesus and I think the only way to be more mature in Jesus is to study God's Word. On Sunday, the Pastor has a captive audience and can use that platform to have the congregation bring their Bible and not just give one Scripture and then his opinion about the message, but use the Bible to take the people on an excursion through the Bible showing where 'God' gives His opinion on the topic of the message. Christians are starving because they are not eating the Scriptures at home. And the teaching of the Bible from the pulpit is not the priority source of the Pastor. All Scripture is God-breathed (2 Tim. 3:16-17). Speak the Words of God from the Bible and His breath will flow through the congregation!

We've attended this church for a few years now and I can honestly say they are family to me. The staff is phenomenal and the teachings are on point. I have never met a more welcoming group of people in my entire life. There is something for everyone at this church. Great children's program, Youth Ministry, Young Adult services, etc. It is very easy to get "plugged-in" at this church. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking to grow closer to God.

I believe there is something wrong when people on staff, as pastors preach one thing and do another. I didn't like it when I saw two of the pastors had gotten fresh ink (tattoos) and it clearly says in the bible that as a child of God we are to be different. I just can't see how that is teaching others to follow what the bible says. We as believers have to be examples. They do have a great youth group and the youth Pastor and his wife are totally committed to the young people. And the Seniors have an awesome meeting on Monday mornings.

This might be odd but even the Pastor's wife should be able to review her church and yes I do love it. Is it the perfect church ?no way! Are the pastors or people perfect? not! Is it a church filled with people who's lives have been changed by Jesus Christ? why yes it it. It's a church where worship and the Word are honored. Where kids and youth hold a high priority. Where the young adults are given avenues to grow in Christ and serve others. Where the older generation is valued and esteemed and where all ages can find a place to belong. Do I love Suncoast because it has it all together, no, I love it because its my family and trust me if the pastor's wife can say that, so can you.
