A beautiful little secluded property that was wonderfully maintained. The inn keepers were polite and attentive without being overbearing. And without a doubt some of the best vacation breakfasts I have ever had. We were in town for a wedding and they were very accomidating for our weird schedule. We are already thinking about going back.

My wife and I had a wonderful time this past weekend at Georges on York. Chris and Sharon are wonderful hosts, so lovely and friendly. The house is beautiful with so much character and personality in the decor. It was lovely to wake up to freshly brewed coffee every morning, and the farm-to-table home-cooked breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend coming for a visit. It would also be the perfect place to rent out in full for a large family gathering. Lots of comfortable indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces as well.

I stayed at George's on York with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding up the street and we were absolutely blown away. Chris and Sharon have a beautiful and well-maintained B&B that anyone going to Gettysburg should stay at at least once. We each had our own room and the styles for each room as well as the history attached to them was really interesting. We had an early morning the next day, but Chris and Sharon still had caffeine waiting for us and were ready to greet us with a smile on their faces. You can tell they've put so much time, effort, and LOVE into their B&B. I also had a few friends stay here the night after my wedding and they've all been raving about how clean, comfortable, and different it was. I believe a few people are already trying to make arrangements to come back and stay there. Please book with Chris & Sharon - they're wonderful and they're B&B is great too!

My writer's group booked all five rooms for a Saturday night retreat. I stayed in The Elizabeth Room. The facility is gorgeous all around - very British Country House Weekend - I fully expected there to be a murder in the library. Amenities - the mattress and bedding was at a luxury hotel level. Fantastic mattress, crisp sheets, comfy pillows. It was amazing. HEATED bathroom floors. Unlimited water, tea, coffee, snacks - there were scones out all day in the breakfast room - plus hot cider - and cookies in the drawing room in the evening. Breakfast was grilled caramelized grapefruit with Greek yogurt which may be one of the best things that I have ever eaten in my life, a veggie-egg casserole and locally-made sausage. The Innkeeper could not have been more welcoming, even sharing ghost stories related to the house. I was a little nervous at bed time, but Miss Elizabeth did not pay a visit this evening. I didn't get to experience much of the area, but I plan a trip back. I could not recommend this place more. (And for pizza "No Anchovies" around the corner was FANTASTIC.)

Questions & Answers

I am planning on staying here for a wedding. Is this place easy to access late at night? Additionally, will there be parking available if I arrive at around midnight during my stay?

If you know where it is, it's easy to access at night. You have to drive down an alley to turn into the parking lot, but hey, it's Taneytown, there's minimal traffic. As for available parking, you should be able to park behind the B&B. There's enough parking for one car per room. If needed, there's public parking just up the alley.
