This place used to be my family's go-to restaurant for lunch at the park when I was growing up. So many fond memories of eating pizza by the water, watching bands play, and hearing the roar of Gwazi behind the trees! Sadly, nowadays the management has decided to eliminate almost all food from the menu in favor of opening a Chick-Fil-A in the park, so now it's basically a very spacious bar, but with picnic tables and an abandoned stage instead of bar seating. The free beer (when they offer it) is a nice throwback to the Busch ownership days and I'm giving them three stars for that, but it's really a bummer that this classic restaurant--one of the very first things ever built at Busch Gardens--has largely been tossed by the wayside and replaced with a morally questionable fast food chain.

Like everything else at Busch Gardens, there is not enough staff. Every drink or food stop takes 15 or 20 minutes just to get through the order line. I'll willingly eat the overpriced stuff, if I can get it...

I visit this spot every time go to Busch Gardens. Usually for beer, and pretzel. I really like the design of this building too.
