My friends and I came to Cave Ridge as part of a wine trail for a bachelorette party. This was the third winery on our itinerary and we decided not to go to the fourth because of how great the atmosphere was at this vineyard. Unfortunately when we left at closing our car broke down. The staff was so hospitable and helpful, providing phone numbers for towing services and even offering to take us home. They went above and beyond and didn’t make us feel like a burden. This alone deserves a five star review for the best staff at any Vineyard in the area. Additionally the wine was the best that we had on our trip and the cheese boards looked amazing. Definitely recommend the Cabernet Franc If you are a red drinker and summer splash if you prefer white. We will always be so appreciative of our friends at Cave Ridge and for helping us learn how to make lemonade out of lemons. :)

The winery is situated in a forested area that exudes peacefulness. The wine is quite good with some that have been awarded recognition from aficionados. Their 2019 Cabernet Franc pairs perfectly with beef. Staff were helpful, professional and made excellent recommendations. Don't forget to try the wine slushies, refreshing, tart & sweet.

The rating represents the quality of the wine. Their reds are less than desirable and their white wines were little more tolerable. Rebecca was informative and helpful but customer service only goes so far. I would recommend trying the sparkling sampler and skip everything else. The premade wine slushies are solid on a hot day. There are several different venues on the property: a traditional indoors tasting room, a covered pavilion, patio, and plastic igloos for cooler weather.

By far and away one of the best wineries in the area. We’ve visited a couple of times and each time it was amazing. We’ve reserved outdoor spaces in the summer and igloos in the winter. They always go above and beyond for us. The food and wine is divine. Don’t pass this place up. It’s truly great all around.

Questions & Answers

I'm visiting with a camper. How is the parking situation?

Tara Cassise | Apr 20, 2021
Sheryn Laub | Apr 21, 2021

Depends on how big your camper is. The road in and out is the same and very narrow and then turns into a gravel road. Limited parking in front but more behind the big bus. May be difficult with a big camper.

Do you still produce La Petite Traminette? I had a bottle dated 2008.

They do and it is very good

What do they serve for lunch? Do they have more than just bread and cheese?

Bring your own lunch (sandwiches or something ready). There is plenty of room downstairs and upstairs to enjoy the scenery while eating.

They do tasting and pairing events. Some are open to the public and some are for members.
