Great place for quality inexpensive Cuban eats. Found this place on a whim while driving through the area. Municipal lot with meter parking behind and on street ($0.25/hr). Service was fast and the food was fresh. Entrees were a great price with just the right portion size, but definitely go for the sandwiches and empanadas! The waitress didn't speak much English to us but definitely understood everything we said. Would come back again if I'm in the area.

El artesano perfect place for an affordable, authentic cuban place. This is definitely a hidden gem in Union city and I rate this 100 out of 100. Every time I come here it’s a pleasurable experience, and the staff never fails. Everything comes out fresh and fast if you’re thinking about coming here you definitely should.

Ive always like this place!! Their empanadas, and their churros rellenos!!.>>>> this was last year!! ....This year on the other side i ordered over 30 empanadas to take to a small gathering/birthday party and got all my friends sick. My 6 year old son got sick as well and Im am very concerned! The quality of this restaurant is on decline. I would not recommend this place anymore, is embarrassing. Over 6 people were sick with diarrhea simultaneously overnight!!... I think the owner better look at the situation before many other regular clients stop coming back for good!! :( !!!

Our go-to for Cuban food in Union City, NJ for many, many, many years. Reasonably priced considering the inflation costs recently due to supply chain issues. Their coffee is great! We love their empanadas! Service is fast and they also do well with to-go orders. I definitely recommend them.Sergio, it has been our pleasure serving up authentic Cuban meals for you over the years!
