All citizens who see the arrogance and non-assistance of our public servants in this Lake County Building Services Department, please contact me. We have a Civil Rights Activist group and are willing to take on ANY county government - and have done so very successfully using private citizens to handle each separate case. The arrogance MUST STOP. THEY ARE PUBLIC SERVANTS.

I understand and based on reading these reviews I would have to say its a whole new ballgame in this post pandemic era. So understaffed is the new normal in most all industries. Compared to other Bldg depts I have dealt with down south. Anyways for me. For a person that does not understand the process. JANIE was super helpful and very pleasant in my inquiries. She put me on hold and took the time to research it for clarification and explanation very easily.

Right now is a tough time for construction - lots of work and lots of screaming customers. Your staff was most helpful to me for our permit process. Id like to call out Tatianna Ross as one of the most awesome staff that you have. She was most helpful, took her time to explain all the steps to me and was very patient and helpful with me. Thank you so much for being kind and helpful. Its a lost art these days and it is appreciated.

Severe backlog due to inefficiency. Needed to travel from office to office over a 6 week time period for a simple window replacement permit...?! Neither online nor in person is there a written outline of steps to take. A new customer must keep asking "now what?". Communication from this county government office comes under individual employee's names. Therefore if you find it necessary to recall a text or email sent to you, it's necessary to recall names such as Kristin, Sandy, Althea, etc. - not Lake County Gov. Or Permitting.
