It's an updated version of projects for low income tenants. Overall the staff tries to keep order and cleanliness as much as possible. People are people.

As a property manager I have found the staff at PHA to be knowledgeable and easy to work with. They are good at their jobs ! Placing their clients is never a hassle.

I currently live in Verandas and completely concur with greg kenny. I'd like to add though, that I do not smoke but I live in cigarette smoke about 15 hours a day from the smokers social club with about 18 members who congregate for hours on end right outside my apartment and smoke, get loud, and often also getting drunk and raise hell. Additionally, with every single apartment off of an inside hallway, I liken it to a hospital the way noise reverbarates. The management of the veradas and also the PGHA are pathetic and incompetent. Oh, and though they spray inside, this site has major infestation and for the 1st time in my life of 60 years, Iexperienced getting into my vehicle and immediately getting covered in ants - when i looked down at my floor board, there was a literal trail with 100s of ants.

Yes they do. They go by your monthly income. 30%
How fast you get placed depends on your situation too. I've seen some people wait for years while others it only took weeks.
With a pet deposit and conditions, yes
To sign up fot Section 8 housing, you need to wait until the waitlist is opened. PG Housing Authority only opens the waitlist about once a year, and it recently opened on October 1st for 1,2,3 and 4 bedrooms, however, i think the wait list is closed already. You can find out on their website if the waitlist is still open or contact them directly. They are located at 340 Gulf Breeze Ave in Punta Gorda. Once you are on the wait list, you can be on there for a good 2-4 years before you get a call, as the waitlist is very lengthy. The application process is easy though, it's only one sheet of paper requesting amount of people in your family that will be living with you along with your income. I hope this helps.
