I am so let down. With such a small selection of public and accessible courses in the Charleston area, Big Bend could be sitting on a gold mine. Instead, the greens are patchier than Monkey Pox, the fairways are toast (which is somewhat acceptable during a hot summer), and the rough has more cut, dead grass sitting on top than healthy growing grass. When you lose 3 balls IN PLAY during a round, after watching them land, thats a problem. It seems like it wouldn't take much TLC aside from more regular cutting and watering to bring this course back to life, but to be charging $45+ prime rates to play is absolute highway robbery. Seems like they know that there are limited options and want to capitalize on it. Very disappointed

Wasn't in very good shape. Fairways we're ok Greens weren't in very good shape. A little bumpy. Rough was cut at different lengths. Who ever is in charge of the greens keepers doesn't have a clue how to take care of a golf course.

I hadn’t played here in a few years and can’t stress how nice it is now. Little pricier than most but challenging and worth it.

The greens are great the fairways need a little tending to the staff is excellent

I'm not aware of any membership but you could call and ask!
Some of the greens aren't great but the course as a whole isn't bad.
With courses around the area closing there are only 2 public courses left to play minus a 9 hole course in town. I do not reccomend just showing up as the courses have become congested.
