i was part of the labor union here in LA, as a beginner your total package is 30 dollar per hour. 15 will go to your retirement/insurance/vacations, so youre left with 15 per hour on check. 15 x40 = 600, but the union get a cut of my check, (around 100 dollars) so im left with 500 before taxes,. I'm in LA so gas price has now been $4.29 in the past 2 years, so my daily gas expenses was around 30 dollars daily, $30x5 days = $150 $500 - $150= $350 per week x4 weeks = $1400 per month for a full time union job that takes me 1.5 hours to get there and 2 hours to get back, Now please keep this in mind, the companies dont keep you working, they just need you for around 2 to 3 weeks if your a beginner. So their is hight change you get laid off and put down the the waiting list that would take between a week or 2 get back to work. after you finally get the work call, you gotta have money saved up, because it would take 2 weeks to starts seen money ( after you start working). Now school, THe union will force you to take a week off to go school, (is a good thigh right?!) but if youre one of the unlucky ones that lives an hour away, you still be expending around $20 to $30 on gas plus you still going to put yourself in the waiting list to find work after youre down with your week of school (which it would take another week or 2) plus an extra 2 week after you start working to see money. Onlv those who have relative with higher potions within the union get the long projects in the best location,. The union doesnt need people, it need slaves, with empty mind, if you ever say something to upset any high Authority within the union, YOU WILL NEVER FIND WORK AGAIN!
