Nice place to go, to just enjoy the surroundings of the area, water, fishing and/craving and just have fun as a family get together, or take a bit/girl friend and enjoy time togthr.

For kayak launch stairs to the right lead to a small beach that is covered at high tide. A small beach launch to the left is better. Some big submerged rocks are east to avoid. Good little launch.

Questions & Answers

Is early morning (low tide) a good time to fish at the pier, or is it best to wait until high tide? Its a nice little pier.

It's best to wait until a couple of hours before high tide. So your fishing the incoming tide. That pier is on Stony creek so your primarily going to be catching perch catfish spot and croakers. So your best baits are going to be either peelers or soft crabs. You can also use live grass shrimp blood worms or razor clams cut up into bite size pieces. You'll actually tear perch up on razor clams catfish will bite them too.

What type of fish are here. Whats the best bait to use?

Catfish perch and spot and croakers primarily. For catfish Peeler crab or soft crab is going to be your most productive bait. You can also get away with nightcrawlers. Perch are going to do best on blood worms or razor clams and blue gill and sunnys redworms and grass shrimp along with your spot and croakers.
