If I could leave negative stars I would. This place was a joke. My father went in there to help get him off prescription pain medications and narcotic medications. He came off of those but was sent home with more medication than before, much of which was unnecessary. The staff was incompetent. At one point they "lost" my father, and called my mother at 5:00 PM in the evening stating that he was missing since 11:00 AM that morning. After calling the police, checking local hospitals and driving ALL over the city, my dad called and said he was there the whole time. When confronted about making the call claiming he was missing, they denied the whole thing, which is odd since the number on caller ID was MFI. The final straw was when MFI sent my dad to the hospital in the very early hours of the morning because he was having difficulty breathing (perhaps due to the insane amount of smoking that happens there? I'm just taking a shot in the dark on that one). So, since my dad has COPD, they sent him to the hospital, which was the right thing to do (better would have been to have him in a non-smoking environment but I digress). He was sent to the hospital around 4:00 AM...details on time are sketchy, but the timeframe being very early in the morning is not disputed. MFI did not call anyone in the family to notify us of this until 5:30 PM...approximately THIRTEEN HOURS LATER. I'm guessing that these positive reviews, which we read prior to encouraging my dad to go to MFI were either completely bogus, or the people leaving the reviews didn't spend their own money for treatment. My dad spent $8500 for inadequate treatment. We will be pursuing action to get a refund.

My loved one was recently at this facility. He absolutely loved this rehab center. I would like to thank all the staff for all the hard work you put in. I would especially like to thank Nurse Laylin and counselor Aisha. He won't stop talking about how much you both helped him! Thank you all! He has been sober 3 months now!!!

MFI gave us our life back! Thank you to all of the outstanding staff there without you who knows where we'd be today. I would really like to Thank Bobby, Renee, Freddie, Candace, Harmony, & Liz for all they have done for us during my husbands time there as well as all the follow up in the months since he was coined out. My husband was a mess 1 year ago when I dropped him off there, we had family counseling as well as my husband got the counseling he needed to put his addiction behind him. I never thought I'd say this but we are happier than ever! My husband remains connected with his fellow alumni as well as the new guys that come in for help. I can't thank you enough for all you've done to make our family whole again! You truly are "My Family" as well.

Hello, MFI does accept Medi-Cal. Also, the program is designed to be a 90 day program, and once there, a counselor is assigned to each individual. The individual and assigned counselor will create a Treatment Plan together, which gives a better idea of how much time may be needed in recovery at MFI (which will not exceed 90 days). Good luck!
